I absolutely love this little apartment hotel conveniently located in Recoleta. Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Kudos to the owner/manager for attention to detail and for building a first rate team.

From the moment Claudio (the Poetry Building's guide and driver) picked us up at the airport, we felt comfortable, pampered and at home. The Poetry Building's well-appointed, spacious rooms were light and airy and perfectly accommodated our family of four. The building itself is cool: fountains and sculptures in the atrium, modern lobby with artwork, swimming pool with a help-yourself...

This was by the far the least expensive place we stayed during our month in South America and one of our favourites. Yes, some of the fittings are becoming a little worn but the apartments are still beautifully furnished (my sons each want one just like them down the track) and located perfectly, in a very safe neighbourhood a slow...

This small apartment hotel was absolutely fantastic. When my wife and I arrived at our apartment, we found a bottle of wine, complements of the hotel. We happened to mention to one of the hotel staff that it was our anniversary, and when we returned to our room, there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us. The staff was...

My husband and I stayed at the Poetry Building for our week vacation in Buenos Aires in December 2016 and absolutely loved it!! It's more like a boutique hotel than a vacation rental (without the expensive prices!). They have a concierge who was extremely helpful with arranging dinners, shows, etc. before our arrival, and the communication (both before and during...

I stayed in Poetry Building based on reviews on Tripadvisor and Expedia. I have been to BA before and love this location-- walkable to Recoleta, Palermo, great shopping on Santa Fe, close to buses and subway, easy to get cabs also. The neighborhood is great for food-- lots of cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself is clean, and very nicely...

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Poetry Building offers 18 exquisite and professionally furnished apartments specifically designed for short-term vacation rental. They are beautifully appointed with all the comforts and amenities you have at home. Poetry is located in Recoleta, one of Buenos Aires' most desired and exquisite neighborhoods, surrounded by parks, cafes, restaurants, and shopping. The building itself evokes the romance that is Buenos Aires. It is firmly rooted in Argentina’s history as the former home of one of its most famous and aristocratic families, the Peralta Ramos. Many of the original architectural lines and much of the beautiful grace of the original 100 year old mansion have been restored. Much effort has been taken to meticulously update Poetry’s interiors to interpret and integrate current trends with modern demands. Our staff speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese. We are located in the office on the ground floor of the building. We offer:Privacy without solitude. Luxury without stuffiness or attitude and assistance without intrusiveness. ... more   less
