I visited friends in Argentina for a week, I booked in Open Bayres Hostel was good experience to know Palermo, nice quiet place at low price, friendly staff helping to know the area. Palermo have an active nightlife area with a lot restaurants and fashion upscale stores.
Thanks guys.

We ended up staying in lots of hostels in Buenos Aires because of the Copa America most hostels were booked.

All I can say about this hostel is don't stay here. If you spend just a little bit more money you can dins something much better.

The bed sheets are dirty and when we moved out we saw the staff simply fold our dirty sheets ready for the next load of backpackers. The showers were cold, dark and dirty with no toilet roll and when I asked the girl on reception looked at me blankly and just shook her head. Surely toilet roll is a basic requirement?

The kitchen has no utensils and was filthy. The sinks smelled of sick and nobody cleaned up after themselves.

We had to drink through it and that's the only way we slept because it was so noisy.

Also if you;re not a smoker, don;t stay here because the rooms all smell of smoke, you can smoke throughout the whole hostel and even the staff smoke whilst they change the sheets,

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
