Everything was perfect during our stay in this hotel. To start, the hotel is so beautiful and elegant! Everything there was built to provide a calm and relaxing environment. The right hotel to stay in Palermo. Also, the hotel staff is very kind and helpful. 100% recommended!

Our introduction to a summer celebration vacation started at this outstanding hotel in Palermo. The location was within an easy walk to great restaurants and bus stops that opened our explorations of BA. From the moment we stepped through the door we were greeted and treated like special friends. Having traveled throughout the world, my wife and I have experienced...

Just 12 rooms, each one quite beautiful and well laid out. The lobby and breakfast room are exquisite, with layered stones creating a 3-story high wall, plus glass and water everywhere. The dining area faces a lovely walled in garden and the included breakfast is indeed bountiful. I wish I had asked what kind of pillows they offer, as I...

Stayed in the Ilum from 10th to the 14th October as the first stop on a trip to Argentina and Brazil. Here's the good, the better and the best about this small boutique hotel. Staff: they were very helpful at all times, especially when it mattered. Having arrived off an early morning flight tired and in need of some rest...

Ilum is a new Hotel in Palermo, a fashion neighborhood in Buenos Aires. All the staff are excellent and always ready to help in everything you need, including call for taxi, booking shows and more, without charge you extra money. Apartaments are excellent, new and very confortable. There is a bathtub and little panoramic lift. The breakfast is amazing and...

First of all is important to understand that so called boutique hotels in Argentina are not of the standard of boutique hotels in other locations. Most are basically bigger versions of overpriced bed and breakfasts, usually you can get a 5 star big chain hotel in BA for less. The good (this is why it gets all the nice reviews):...

A small, intimate hotel in a walkable area of Palermo Hollywood. Shops and restaurants all within walking distance, including Palermo Soho attractions. The hotel, and the surrounding area, is currently undergoing some renovation, especially in the garden side, but I didn't find any of this bothersome. The hotel staff were very friendly and bilingual. Free wifi too.

This is a small 16 room hotel in the Hollywood Palermo district of Buenos Aires. I had the best sleep of the year in this hotel. The beds and sheets are A+. The breakfast is fabulous. A mixture of local pastries, fresh fruits, yogurt and cereal, coffee, juice, and eggs and lattes made to order! Thank you Carolina! We held...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
