Anyone (young) that has been to BA will most probably tell you Milhouse is the place to stay. I can confirm this as it had everything I look for in a hostel. It is a large 'hotel like' hostel with heaps of dorms and private rooms, has a roof top bar where you can chill during the day and a...

This Hostel was quite clean, with spacious dorm rooms. A little bit quiet for a "party Hostel", as we were not allowed to make any kind of noise even on a Saturday night after 9pm. But in terms of the actual amenities and staff, it was good value for money. I would recommend.

Having travelled a lot and stayed in many hostels around the world I can safely say this one was the worst. The staff we thought were great, very friendly and always helpful. There is also plenty to do here with tours and activities running every day. We however felt like we were being treated like children here. Upon check in...

Hello Claire! I´m grateful to you that you have taken the time to leave your comment, it allows us to improve on our service and in turn to be able to do some explanations, since it is the case. As you can see at your arrival, we are a big hostel and we have many guests, so it is necessary...

I've completed over 200 trip advisor reviews and never gave a 1 star before... But I'm left with no alternative. Every facet of my stay was blighted by poor service or inadequate facilities. I'm particularly harsh here as it came with a reputation in lights but failed utterly to deliver. When I arrived at reception at 8:30am, I had to...

Mostly a party place at night. Close to places in Montserrat- like obelisk and sightseeing places . Would have been more interesting to stay in a hostel in Palermo where there are good restaurants and night life An easy subway ride would have taken me to Montserrat during day for sightseeing. Staff is sort of helpful with questions about tours...

Milhouse is good because they get so many guests that they accommodate a lot for them - parties every night, discounts off other things, information about the city and other tours. The breakfast is good, and the wifi is strong. They have very good services (laundry, computers) which makes it a good pit stop. The vibe is a bit isolated...

Thank you for taking the time to write this, for us is really important what our guest thinks about us. We pride ourselves in our quality hostel facilities, our fun and varied activities, and specially our friendly Staff, to enjoy Buenos Aires the way we show it to our friends. Hope to see you again :)

We arrived late at night after a long flight. The hostel was very noisy with people shouting (not like a party just a lot of noise). The room Was filthy, bathroom in the worst condition, as if weren't cleaned in years. Mold on the walls, garbage everywhere. The beds are old and squeaking. They had no bedsheets available so we...

We loved this hostel. It was expensive for a private room, at about £50 a night. The room was nice, all the rooms open up onto balconies looking down to a courtyard. The social areas are great and the staff are fantastic, we met lots of them and asked for lots of different help and advice and they were all...

This hostel is in a huge, fantastic building in a good, central location. We stayed for 3 nights but will be returning again in a few months. There are events and tours running every day, so plenty to keep you occupied during your stay. The nights are also well organised and rotate with Milhouse's other BA hostel so there are...

Where to begin... firstly the price is outrageous, the hostel staff were very rude and unhelpful. For a party hostel, you can't bring your own alcohol and are searched upon entry... alll tours and activities provided are overpriced and very average. The beds were creaky and uncomfortable. In case you are told be warned Mario is man to avoid better...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
