Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.

When you use hotels.com, THEY charge the credit cards. But rest assured, nothing that do not correspond is going to be charged. We´ve never had problems with regards to the charges, and this is not going to be the first time.
Having returned to Buenos Aires after traveling in the Patagonias, we chose upon staying in this part of town (having stayed in the Centro before, when doing the "exploring" of BA) for our last night before catching the flight home. Seeing a new part of...More
Stay there 2 nights. No complains. It is in the great neighborhood of Recoleta. Near of everything. You can walk around, they have parks, restaurants and shops. The hotel overall is very good. Very reasonable priced and includes breakfast. It is clean and confortable.
Probably not, since they offer regular hotel laundry laundry services. But if you ask at the desk, I'm sure they'll direct you to the closest self-service laundry. It's in a very residential neighborhood, I'm sure there are... More
