This place is mock up of a neat, contemporary hotel in the centre of BA. Location is good, no doubt about it and prices were avarage compared to other "3-4 star" places which I have been in, but...the quality of rooms, food and service, I would rather stay in a hostel. This place is a reminiscent of the Peron era....

We are very UNSATISFIED with our stay in hotel Victory. We have booked it on booking.com and the reviews semmed OK, it was better to look at the reviews here in tripadvisor.. The receptionist did no speak a word in english and was very unprofessional. We have paid immediately on arrival and asked to issue the receipt, he said that...

This was considerably cheaper than any other hotels in Buenos Aires. The location is excellent, walking distaance from the airport bus, sightseeing bus and main pedestrian area. The hotel isn't luxurious but is clean and comfortable (no sign of cockroaches). The room was a little hot for me and the heating wasn't adjustable so i had to open the window...

This seems to be a quite old hotel, and its rooms show it. The room is small, but compatible with the hotel price. It has several pluses: good location, near Galería Pacífico, and courteous and helpful staff. In our room, there was no street noise, but, in our first morning, a lot of noise from inside the hotel. The worst...

O hotel é bem simples, estilo 2 estrelas.

Basic. This is Victory Hotel. No luxury at all, but a friendly staff, a superb location in downtown and an incredible price. I reserved through internet a standard room, and when I got there, They gave me a superior room for the standard price. Great! The room faced the street... very, very noisy (I had to use earplugs to sleep)....

For the price I think its a good deal, the breakfast was Ok, the rooms where clean and had no problem with the air conditioner. Its a good place for young travelers who are going to the hotel only for a bath and a good sleep..

The Victoria Hotel has two types of apartments: Standart and Superior ( more expensive 23%). We opt to the Standart. Seven days. The choise for this hotel obeyed the criterio: Lesser price + normal attendance ( without swimming pool, exercise room, sauna, and so on ) + excellent localization. It was an excellent choise. The hotel is: 1 meter of...

A travel agent found this hotel for me when I asked for the cheapest one available in July. I believe I got what I paid for and was satisfied. The hotel is a bit worn, but the bathroom was clean. I went when it was wet and on the cold side, but the room was always nice and warm. The...

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
