It looks nice on any booking web pages, but not. It's a booking trap! Although Reception looks great and clean, bedrooms (beds and furniture) are old, dirty with disgusting smell of mould or smoking. It was a very unpleasant and disgusting experience. The only one advantage is location. But, with the cost, you probably can get something better.

If you are from Europe - do not choose this hotel. Staff don't understand english (only one person in reception can speak a little), the hotel condition is bad. At first day we found old sheets (there was other human hair inside the bed) and strong cigarette's smells. Room was dirty (2person room) the furniture was old (except tv). Hotel...

...but this is something definitely that you do NOT need. If you're like me and look for something comfortable to sleep while you adventure through the city, this is not the place. This place is extremely dated and the staff seems to be dated as well. Want smiles and advice on what to do around Buenos Aires? Won't find it...

The lobby is the 'newest' and tidiest part of the hotel and yes, it is dated as others have mentioned however, lumpy pillows and dark room aside...this was a great place to stay. It is very central and is easy to get your bearings of the city from here. We walked everywhere! The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful, and engaging....

This hotel doesnt offer so much, the rooms are very dark and the breakfast which is not included in the fare is really poor. The location is not good, so much garbage containers across the main entrance to the hotel. Just one nice person at the lobby. Never again there.

De la Paix had very nice staff, very polite, friendly and spoke very good English! The location is perfect, there's so many good restaurants just meters away from the hotel and all the tourist attractions are just around the corner. If it wasn't for the excellent staff and location, I'd give the hotel itself 3 points, I asked when I...

This hotel is located in the microcenter of Buenos Aires. The rooms are quite big, clean and comfortable. The variety of food for breakfast can be considered as above average in comparison with other hotels nearby within the same price range. The staff was nice, polite and helpful. The hotel itself might seem to be a bit old, but still...

The hotel is old, true. The staff is not the friendliest people you will ever meet, true. Breakfast is not outstanding, true. However, it is cheap and centrally located, which was all I was looking for last time I traveled to Buenos Aires. If they maintain the rates, I would go again.
