The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is the location but the lack of customer service from the hotel staff and GM, the outdated rooms and the mediocre breakfast is not worth staying at this hotel. There are plenty of better options nearby. I DO NOT recommend it at all.

There is no free wifi, you have to pay extra every 24 hours! But everything else is great, the service, rooms and location. I stayed in a 5 person room ( 3 Single beds and 1 twin bed) it is very comfy for family with childrens. The breaksfast its good and the location is a 15-10 min walk to the...

Overall this hotel was ok! Service was great, location was excellent for exploring the city, the rooms were clean and breakfast was good. The only problem was really that the bathroom was TINY and the toilet didn't flush that well. Our view was over a rooftop construction site to a concrete wall but other than that it was ok. We...

This is a nice hotel, with very good rooms and in a great location in front of a open space. Very near the shopping areas and with very good transportation. The breakfast is great and the dining room with a very nice view. The service is not so good, but the relation price-qualiy is very good.

For the price we got on booking.com (55 USD + tax, January 2014) the hotel was pretty good. The room size was just OK, nice big bed, clean, excellent location in Buenos Aires. We did not take breakfast or used much service from the front desk, so I cannot comment on these. I can just mention three things that could...

The hotel entrance is very bad designed! One could have an accident by trying to climb the high steps to the entrance door! Use the revolving door instead, because the steps leading to it are much shorter!!!! They should install a barrier so people will know not to climb the very high steps! Then there is the personnel, it seemed...

We stayed for 2 nights and it was the WORST experience ever. We arrived at 10.00 after a long flight and after more than 20 minutes waiting only a porter told us that the check in is at 14.00 and to come back even at 14.30 in order to try to get our room. There was no one to talk...

The only positive about the hotel is the location. Our room was a disaster: tiny, too warm, unfinished with no tiles in the bathroom. The whole place needed major renovation. We left as soon as we could. Nothing like in the pictures.

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
