We stayed 5 days in BA in Dec 2009 (we could have done it in 3). The rooms were a little dated but clean. There breakfast, which is included, was one of the best we had in the four weeks we were in Argentina. The best thing about the Home Hotel was they provided this little booklet on BA including...

Home does what it says on the tin - it's a totally relaxing place to return to after the bustle of city life. Even better it has a barman on call to make you fantastic cocktails; and a great pool and garden to sip them at. Good food too although more for a lunch/snack style meal than a romantic evening...

Home is a really great hotel, the perfect base from which to explore Buenos Aires. We were there for five nights and could have happily stayed there for longer - it was all very relaxed, the staff friendly and cool without being remotely pretentious. The hotel's book of local city recommendations is really helpful and definitely worth a mention too.

Home markets itself on coolness and certainly delivers the good, and whereas many style-oriented boutique hotels have their heads too far up their backsides, the staff at Home are overwhelmingly helpful, polite and professional. The young staff seem to know just about everything about everything in Buenos Aires and able to converse in fluent English, nothing was ever too much...

We just spent two nights at Home Hotel and had a really enjoyable stay. Home is a small boutique hotel which has a great little garden / pool area. Location is good - if you come to BA you will definately want to stay in Palermo - there are some slightly better located hotels, but Home does still have a...

We stayed at this hotel on our honeymoon and I can strongly recommend it. Fantastic service, great breakfast and lovely decorated rooms. There are also a number of really good restaruands in the area Palermo Hollywood (where it is located). We were really happy we stayd in this area.

Can't say enough good things about the hotel. Stepping into the main lobby, you immediately feel relaxed. The hotel is built with the environment in mind, and light and greenery give the feeling of 'outside inside'. Staff at the front desk are multilingual, helpful and efficient. The bar and pool area provide a great oasis in the city. Vibrant Palermo...

I stayed here (on and off) for a total of 11 days during a 3 week visit to Argentina this December. The staff were incredible (but not in a stuffy 5 star kind of way), after 2 days some were calling me by my first name (but not in an overfamiliar kind of way), very attentive and friendly. The rooms...

My wife and I stayed at Home hotel for 1 month at the beginning of our transition to living in Buenos Aires. We rented the loft apartment for the entire time. It was a great decision. I had already stayed here for a weekend, so I knew it was a great place, but we only really found out during this...

Home Hotel seduced us with its laid back atmosphere, the most charming and helpful front desk staff ever to be found, and the most brilliant "little black book" city guide you could hope for. Our room (9) was cozy, stylish and full of little details. We loved the weather forecast left on our bed each night. Cocktails in the bar...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
