We stayed at Republico Palermo for 3 nights at the beginning of our south America trip. The girls at the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable and spoke good English. The hotel is basic but clean with comfortable beds. If you are a light sleeper I would request a room at the back because our room was quite loud with... More

The location is fantastic with lots of places to eat just around the corner. Shopping is also not too far away. We were checked-in by Fabricio which provided lots of good recommendation on things to do in BA, plus some of his fav restaurants. We didn't use the common area so can't comment on that. We were given a room... More

My friend and I expected to stay in more of a hostel environment where the staff would be very knowledgeable and helpful with booking our activities and where we would meet fellow travelers. This was not the case at all. The staff was fairly unhelpful and didn't know about main attractions in BA, so we had to resort to google... More

The Property was well located and even had a laundry shop just next door which was just what we needed. There were lots of eateries around as well which was convenient. We arrived at night and we're greeted by Pablo, a very nice and welcoming host. He spoke limited English but was friendly and accommodating which was great. He introduced... More

I loved my stay at Republica Palermo. The location can't be beat, and staff went above and beyond in their helpfulness. They made me feel very comfortable and at home. The room was comfortable and always clean and the common areas were spacious. The wifi was a bit patchy, dropped out a bit, but otherwise it was very fast. And... More

The location is fantastic and the staff nice. I met some nice travelers there. But the room was small, lacked a desk, did not have good wifi, and had an old feel (they need to hire a painter and general handyman to fix up anything that is falling apart). I was very ready to leave and found AirBNB places much... More

Perfectly located "Republica Palermo" is a little jewel for everyone seeking a real Buenos Aires experience- away from all downtown hecticness in one of the hippest neighborhoods. You will be greeted by an amazing staff, who will make sure to hook you up with bikes or organized trips or shows in and around Buenos Aires. They also know great places... More

Palermo is definitely the area to stay if you're stopping through Buenos Aires. This hotel is located right in the heart of Palermo in just a fantastic location - really close to a bunch of cool stuff and yet still walkable to the metro and large park located on the east side of the city. Staff was very nice and... More

We checked into this hotel after needing to escape a rubbish hostel down the road. It only cost a couple of pounds per night more than our hostel and Republica Palermo was a million times better. The room was massive with air conditioning and wifi in the rooms. Lovely shower with hot water. Staff were great and were so helpful.... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
