Dirty, nasty, noisy until very late (including objectionable friends of the alleged sister of the owner: who weren't even staying there) and a really bad smell of gas that made me need to vomit. When I mentioned the smell of gas to the Frankenfurter-type from the Rocky Horror Show at reception, he said he knew about. I suggested he turn...

We saw the pictures and good reviews on airbnb and booked. For the first time ever we decided on arrival not to stay there. It was horrible, dirty and the host had not the slightest intention of making it better. Across the street in 50 meters there is sabbatico hostel, which is awesome

All bad reviews say the truth. Hostel with so much potential but in really bad condition. In 5 month travelling around we saw lots of hostel and we learnd that chared and cheep room dosnt has to mean untended and ugly. The owner changed 2 years ago and this has to be the reason for the circumstances. Otherwise i cant...

We stayed because of the off street parking they offered for a motorcycle. The first two nights the staff stayed up partying until after 4 and 5 am despite their own signs saying absolute silence was required after 1am. The place is dirty and needs some maintenance. The owner and a couple of nice desk staff were helpful. I hope...

It has a lot of potential, but the place is literally falling apart. We had a double with private bathroom, and both were more dirty than you could imagine. Everything in the bathroom was broken. The washbasin was about to fall on the floor and water was dropping DIRECTLY on the floor. The shower was simply unusable. Moreover, they charged...

Kilca is on the verge of being an epic budget backpacker hostel in downtown Buenos Aires. The house is beautifully laid out and even offers a lovely front entrance and patio large enough to accommodate my BMW touring motorcycle. The staff are very chill and helpful. The ambiance at Kilca gets even better when the record player fills the common...

One of the most horrible Hostels we have ever been. Even in Vietnam there were more clean rooms. After a 16 hour flight the hostel stuff was having a BBQ in front of our room....and the included breakfast was not there...WIFI didnt work...so we left after one night. No money back...I know why you have to pay before your stay...because...

Do not recommend. Tons of negative reviews for the place on hostelworld, and all well-founded. The place has plenty of potential, but the owners don't invest in basic upkeep. My bedroom had mold on the walls and the bathrooms had mold and spiderwebs. The first night of my stay there was no hot water in the showers and the next...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
