This hotel provided the perfect place to stay for my first trip to Buenos Aires and Argentina. The staff spoke wonderful English for which I was grateful as sadly I don't speak any Spanish. While not a luxury hotel, this place was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful atmosphere. There was a bar and there were plenty of pleasant corners where I could relax in the evening with a drink and read a book. The local area felt very safe and I had no problems walking to restaurants and back at night alone. One thing that is worth pointing out is there are safe deposit boxes in the lobby which are great for storing cash, valuables etc. For a small deposit, you get a key and then you can access the the box yourself whenever you want for the whole time you are there - this was a very useful service. I absolutely loved Buenos Aires and I couldn't imagine a better hotel than the Costa Rica if you want a safe, affordable and welcoming place to stay!…
We arrived at this hotel on Feb 24, 2020 as a group of international blacksmiths. The group stayed for 10 days calling Hotel Costa Rica home. We have stayed on, and use the hotel as a base to explore other areas of Argentina and Uraguay, but returning to Hotel Costa Rica feels like coming home. It's an older building, but kept meticulously clean and tidy, A lovely common area, with interesting art ,but best of all are the staff, The manager Silvina is a rockstar, as are the rest of the staff. I am going to miss them.
Comfortable clean charming hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Located in the Palermo district of BA notable for its tree lined streets and avenues and for its cool bars and excellent restaurants.
old house, with many little corners to sit and hang out (on the roof, or inside), very nicely decorated, staff very friendly, clean, rooms a little small, but after all you only sleep in there, and beds are comfortable. Quiet but still close to restaurants. A place you would like to stay longer
A relaxing and stylish hotel in a great area of town. The coffee was superb, and is included at breakfast. There is a bar which seems to be open the whole time. If there are people with loud voices the building gets a bit noisy with echoes up and down the stairwell. The floors are rather slippery as they are marble, stone and decking - my daughter tripped twice. Highly recommended
