Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Service: very friendly and helpful Rooms: unique with all its art Cleanliness: good Breakfast: fine Location: central Price: a bit overpriced Wifi: could be slightly better I honestly can say that this was an unique experience. A lot of art and with a lot I mean a lot. It felt like we were sleeping in a museum instead of a hotel. We had a small tour in the hotel so that was fun as well. So much history in one place. Very central location. The ladies that helped us during our stay were very friendly. They helped us with cash and car stuff. A cool place for a night or two!

I stayed at the hotel for 14 days. I felt more like a house guest than an anonymous hotel guest. The hotel itself of course is like a museum and a Time Machine. But what makes this hotel truly special is the amazing staff here. From the hotel owner Graciela, to the hotel manager Agustina, to Ana Rocio the part time receptionist/concierge, to Julieta and Andreas the hotel housekeepers, every single one of them went out of their way to make me feel truly welcome. They are so kind and so hospitable it was really special. They even accommodated my breakfast requests. Of all the hotels in Córdoba, it is my honest belief that Virreinato has the best location. It is in the Jesuit Block, next door to the opera house and the biggest mall in Córdoba. It is within walking distance to almost everything. Finally, one day I visited Museo del Cuarteto and accidentally locked myself in the bathroom since the lock was inoperable. I banged on the door for a long time but no one heard me. I called Agustina who told me she would call the museum. A few minutes later she showed up in person!! That is what you call devotion and professionalism.

Room Tip: The two rooms upstairs are really beautiful, more so than the room on the ground floor.

This is an absolutely amazing boutique hotel. The room was spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. The owners were fantastic hosts and the hotel is an amazing museum worth seeing. The hotel alone is worth a to visit Cordoba. This is a hidden gem that is on my list to return to. There are only three rooms so don't miss out.

It is without doubt the most unique place we have ever stayed. Right in the centre of Córdoba but so quiet. Every space has something beautiful to look at and when you have a tour of the house you will realise how amazing the whole thing is. The staff are lovely and whoever the lovely lad was who served us each morning (we didn’t get his name) went out of his way to communicate with us despite our profoundly poor Spanish There’s a gorgeous courtyard to sit in too. Air con is excellent as is Wi-fi. Can’t fault it.

Hello Lesley! We are very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at our hotel, and we appreciate your lovely comment and your honest rating. We work very hard to offer our guests quality accommodation and a personalized service. Also, to share a small, but important part of the history of Córdoba. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Virreinato's Staff

Perfect location in the old town, formerly part of the Jesuit complex, now a great little boutique hotel run by incredibly charming owners. If you are tired of fancy hotels and wish to go for something very special, this is the place to stay. We enjoyed true hospitality surrounded by pieces of art; very personal touches everywhere. The breakfast room makes you feel like a Spanish "Conquistador" ;-) Matías gave us a tour in the house which is rather a museum. Don't miss it, if you have a chance to see it. No reason to worry that they don't have a restaurant - sights, restaurants, cafés - everything in walking distance. Shoud we go to Córdoba again, we would not look any further.

Be sure, this is a two room house, not a hotel. No bar or restaurant, no office, no front desk, just a house with rooms for rent. And if you show up and don't like what you see, they will NOT refund your money.

I had a very great experience staying in this place. First you really feel at home in a very quiet place straight in the centre of the city. Then this is place more a Jesuit house maintained as a museum. My best experience in Cordoba.

This very small boutique hotel in a historic, beautifully restored building in the heart of Cordoba made us feel great, special and priviliged from the first moment. We felt like staying in a wonderful museum discovering nice pieces of art every time we came back to the hotel. All the staff were exceptional, the breakfast personally prepared at the time we wanted, and we also could enjoy an interesting tour about the history of this phantastic and idyllic place.

Arrived to Virreinato with some concerns when we realized it was a 2 bedroom hotel. But do not be put off as it is a beautiful experience. Located in the center of the city, Virreinato is a refurbished house in the Jesuite Quarter that has been decorated by its owners in the most amazing way. It feels like you have traveled through time but with all the confort. The staff makes you feel at home with their personalized attention. In terms of location, it is perfect as it is right between the historical center and one of the main avenues with an assorted selection of restaurants and bars. All within a walking distance. A place to return.
