Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We only stayed here for one night as a stopover to our next destination but we were happy with the hostel.
It is in a great location just about 8 minutes from the main streets. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We were in a double room but we found it a little pricey for what we got ($280 for the night) for a bed, tiny ensuite toilet/shower and wardrobe... The hostel is very big and we found it quite nosey at night with doors closing and people talking outside.
The breakfast was lovely and the guy cooking it was very kind - we got up too late for breakfast but he invited us into the kitchen where he had some leftovers and offered them to us.

All in all we would recommend this hostel.

Perfectly fine for a couple of nights. There is a big kitchen which is fully equipped and clean. Great breakfast including pancakes or omelette. Not far from the main plaza. The staff are very helpful too. Rooms are basic but big.

When we received the key of our room we noticed that the room was not cleaned and neither the linen were not changed. We asked for new linen and the staff said that it was clean but probably because of a mistake of the laundry not all hair could be removed. At the end we received the new linen and cleaned up the room by ourselves (wipped the whole floor, it was really necessary). The bed was quite old with moving wooden slats but it was ok.
Beside the cleanliness the stay in general was very good with one of the best breakfasts we had in Argentina and also the atmosphere was great: We met some other people in the wonderful backyard and went together to Maipu for renting a bike and tasting wine in wineries.

Stayed here 2 more nights that I was planning just because I liked the place so much. Owners were super cool. Place is well run, and the prices can't be beat. You get a free breakfast with your stay and there are always barbacues and things happening. Good spot to meet other travelers as well. Five stars.

You have been warned :-( They had a problem 10 days earlier, which just happens to be the incubation time for bed bug eggs. If they continue their current method of cleaning (spray and re make the beds 45 minutes later) this will occur again in 10 days, and again and again. The manager refused to speak to me and left the reception staff to deal with the 5+ of us who all had to leave due to bites.

Definately not worth choosing! Go to another hostel... the room was full of bedbugs (really full of them). Even when we changed the room there where still some.. the free wine does not help there!!!
Just go to anotherplace! Please...

Pretty much the best hostel we have stayed in and super good value for money!

Rooms & bathrooms are clean and decent. There's plenty of common area to chill and mingle with other travellers. Plus they have a lovely terrace with tables and chairs, hammocks and a BBQ stove. Kitchen is pretty big with 2 fridges, 2 sinks, oven and multiple stoves.

Breakfast was awesome with unlimited omelettes and dolce de leche creeps on top of bread, mediolunar, cereal, fruits, tea, coffee and juice. Yes, I know, not yr typical Argentina breakfast! Best thing is if you arrive there in the morning (before 10am), while they cannot let you check in straight away, they will let you enjoy a nice breakfast!

Every staff is super friendly and they would tell you everything you need to know. The hostel has a lot of activities to offer, some free some cost a little. Free wine from 7-9pm everyday and they do pretty good Asado two days a week (AR$150 per person). There's also a free mate appreciation class and free walking tour.

My husband got very ill in Mendoza and we had to stay longer than intended. The hostel staff took really good care of us. Not only did they help us find a good English speak doctor, help us with our bags, they also offered us a free night in their best private suite. We can't be more thankful and I would recommend this hostel to everyone!

One minor negative point, water may not be very warm if too many people take showers at similar times.

We have been travelling around Argentina for 2 months and thus far this hostel comes the lowest in our rankings.

The good things about this hostel is that it has good WiFi, pleasant relaxing areas and friendly staff.

The main problem is the cleanliness of the place in terms of bedrooms and bathrooms. The bed sheets and pillows looked like they should have been condemned years ago.
We didn't take the chance of bed begs after reading the guess book + trip advisor, so we stripped the bed and used a bedbug sheet. We also cut our Mendoza because of this.

We also had the downstairs bedroom in which it echo all voice down the hall way keeping you up and night. Ear plugs required on this one!

We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. The room itself lacked character and needed a bit of life pumped into it. However it was spacious with air con and was clean. The shared bathrooms were fine and kept clean. Breakfast was great with eggs and pancakes :-) we loved the empanadas class they put on and the wine happy hour :-) we met some cool people here. The host was very helpful, recommending an excellent wine area to hire bikes and taste the wine :-)

Myself and my partner visited this hostel on our 4 month travels around South America. The staff at this hostel are very friendly but that is the only good thing about it. We opted for a double room with bathroom as we wanted some privacy. It’s safe to say we tried to spend the least amount of time possible in the room. Loose wires, leaking shower, mouldy bathroom and peeling wallpaper were just a handful of awful things about the room we were given. This place needs a serious makeover. I would not recommend staying here.
