The Secret Garden was a real find. The B&B has three en suite, generously sized bedrooms, which are set at the back of the property in the garden. The rooms are really nicely decorated, very clean and well kept. Breakfast is served on the veranda, with great cappuccinos and home made jams. The guesthouse is a short walk from the...

I stayed at the Secret Garden for 3 nights as a base for Iguazu Falls. Although travelling on my own, John made me feel most welcome and provided great tourist advice. The drivers he recommended were friendly and knowledgable, the accommodation was charming and his staff were extremely helpful where nothing was a problem. I would certainly recommend this place,...

As soon as we had dropped off our bags John took us for a tour of the area, showed us which were the best restaurants and local shops. Then it was cocktails on his stoep at 7.30 before going out for supper. John is really friendly, genuinely interested in other people and someone who we;d love to entertain in our...

We stayed at the Secret garden this past January 2007. It was the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at anywhere. When you first get there, you are not sure if you are at the right place, (no signs, looks like a modest house), but then you are led to the back and POW! You are instantly rewarded...

A stay at the Secret Garden is like a stay with an old friend, from the moment you are picked up at the airport until you are dropped off again everything is done to make your stay special. On arrival we sorted ourselves out and then joined John for a cold drink on the patio. He was full of suggestions...

Absolutely recommended B&B while visiting Iguazu Falls, Argentina. There are 3 rooms so your stay is both intimate and secluded. I stayed in the far right room that was large enough for a double bed and an entertaining area. Each room has air conditioning. The owner, John, as others have mentioned, is friendly and helpful. He helped us procure transportation...

John, the owner, was very easy to make a reservation with. He offered roundtrip transportation between the airport and his Inn, which I highly recommend because it is reasonable and it is nice to have someone waiting for you when you arrive. When we arrived, another couple had just checked in as well and John asked if we’d like to...

The Secret Garden B&B in Iguazu has it all: clean, modern, cool rooms; a lush backyard garden full of birds, women who do your laundry for 20 pesos and philosopher/innkeeper John Fernandes, who will have a drink with you and share amazing stories. Don't miss meeting John.

I stayed at Secret Garden Iguazu a couple of months ago, during a two-day trip to Iguazu when I was in Argentina for a friend's wedding. First of all, unlike 80%+ of the other accomodation in Iguazu, it was very easy to find using Google search. I mentioned this to John, the proprietor and host, and he said that a...

A wonderful B&B - a real oasis in what, let's face it, isn't the prettiest of towns. John (the owner) couldn't have been more helpful, organising taxis to take us to both sides of the falls, and making sure we didn't get fleeced. His home-made jams are wonderful, as are his cocktails in the evening, although a word of warning...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An ideal place to jump-start your visit to the Iguazu Falls in Argentina. High on concept the Secret Garden is populated by tree ferns and other shade-loving plants salvaged from the slash and burn rural and logging activities decimating the surrounding rain-forest. Our location allows you to get a feel of living in a small South American frontier town and has easy access to urban amenities. ... more   less
