Stayed 4 days and it is a nice&quiet place. The furniture is old though and the wifi only works arround lobby. A plus is the swimming pool and 2 elliptic bikes they let you use. It serves only breakfast (for some reason) but you can find nice restaurants (churascarias) nearby (pay per kilo).

This hotel is a huge disappointment! 1. LOUD. It's located next door to a hostel that plays loud music past 12am. It was like trying to sleep in the middle of a dance club. We finally had to ask in the middle of the night for them to switch out rooms so we could sleep. 2. NO WIFI. Although they... More

The hotel is diagonally opposite Puerto Iguazu bus station, an easy walk if you are arriving by long distance bus and for buses to the falls. Rooms are quite big but basic. Breakfast is good with fresh fruit salad as part of a continental breakfast. There is an attractive outdoor (not heated) swimming pool with a pleasant surrounding lounge/bar area.... More

This hotel is quite outdated, however the staff are extremely wonderful. They were very friendly, they helped us put together a full traditional Argentinian Barbecue and came to save us when there was a massive storm and all the power went out. There is a really nice butcher and supermarket just down the road an amazing (and cheap) bakery over... More

I was too tired after a long bus ride to go looking so I ended up at Hotel Alexander right across the bus station. For US $60.00 I got a dark and dirty room. It was cold so I never even saw the pool. Breakfast was sweet rolls and some cereal. For that price, I'm sure you can do better.

We only ended up here because we arrived very late into Puerto Iguazu (Argentina) with no accom booking - the Alexander is virtually opposite the central bus station. The decor is daggy and dull and our room on the ground floor, although an OK size, was dingy, dark and a liitle depressing. There was a (locked) door in our room... More

We asked for their cheapest room, and it was pretty grungy - the AC had no working buttons, the bathroom was dark, the beds too soft...you get what you pay for I guess. We didn't really care: we just wanted access to that very nice pool. (However, from 4 pm to 8 pm, the friendly pool bartender blasts annoying pop... More

We stayed here as part of an organised tour. Our room was very dated (bathroom, furniture, everything really), not the cleanest and had a g-string hanging in our shower when we arrived (what the ?????). While we didn't swim in the pool it was unexpectedly impressive, it looks relatively new and well maintained. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special.

However the staff were a bit grumpy in the mornings. Breakfast not brilliant, but filled a hole. Room comfortable, dark as no view and kept curtains drawn. A/C ok once got it working, go to reception if a problem. Good location. Out of hotel left then right at lights, down hill into town, quite busy at night. Straight across lights... More

Spacious rooms, standard and breakfast alright. Nice pool and perfect ambiente for a laid back evening after having visited the Catarates. A bit off from city center, still close to restaurants, shops and the like. Very good price-performance-relation.
