The village of Molinos is tiny, and the Hacienda is undoubtedly the best, if not the only, decent lodging there. It's in a nicely restored 18th century hacienda, originally the residence of the last governor of Salta Province named by the King of Spain. Our room was spacious & airy, with a great king-sized bed and modern bathroom - with...

Hacienda de Molinos is an excellent place to stay in the Valles Calchaquies. The room we got was not only beautifully decorated and spacious (like you expect from those Boutique hotels) but also very practical (as you rather find in business hotels) with every item being there where you need to be it. The patio is lovely with a huge...

My husband and I arrived to this estancia on a Saturday afternoon. We sat in the patio which was wonderful and relaxing and had lunch. The service was slow and not very friendly. We both ordered spaghetti with goat cheese, olive oil and fresh tomatoes. After a few hours we were both sick with diarrhea and stomach cramps. It lasted...

We stayed for one night. Our room was spacious. Large bathroom. Rooms are overlooking the court yard. At night it is quite. Restaurant is good, we had pumpkin soup and beautiful tender loin. Nice wine and we were happy. Own parking available. Staff is friendly and speaks some English. Although we only speak a little Spanish it is not a...

We arrived at the end of the afternoon and the autumn light was descending on us quite fast. It was a very windy day. The place was quiet and it had a feeling of abandonment with nobody in sight but only the gusty wind welcoming us. Eventually a woman came out from behind a closed door and greeted us with...

We stayed for a night at the Hacienda - despite driving by it initially. Clean and comfortable, the swimming pool (albeit with recent leaves which could/should have been removed) was most welcome after the bouncy and hot drive from Salta. The rooms are well equipped, although without A/C, with the adobe walls providing some relieve from the sun/heat. The hacienda...

Wonderful hacienda set in a beautiful location with a fantastic pool. We spent a couple of very relaxing days here and took advantage of the fanatic accommodation and lovely restaurant. This is also a great spot to explore Colomé bodega.

As if time stood still. This is the real rural experience: really beautiful location, and premises. In a very basic and small village. Good basic restaurant, small pool, probably very cold water. The courtyard is one of the most beautiful ones we've ever seen. If you are there and you wouldn't visit nearby Colome winery and the James Turrell Museum...

The hotel is a lovely old hacienda with a wonderful shady courtyard, perfect for lounging with a glass of great, local wine. It was very quiet in the evening; you could hear dogs bark and frogs croak. The rooms have the same feel as the older public spaces, a single level with high ceilings, plaster walls, and old wood work....

Great place to hang out for some days and make a day trip to Bodega de Colome and the James Turell museum. Or take a day drive up to Cachi and test Miraluna's great wine (buy some scarfs or Salta ponchos in Secelantes on the way). Or just relax and enjoy the great food and friendly staff.
