One of the worst hostels I've experienced in Argentina. The price is expensive for what you get. When we arrived, the bed I was allocated was the worst bed I've ever seen in a hostel. It is basically hollow- and another bed in the same dorm was similar. I don't know how one can sleep on it without incurring serious back problems. After we complained I was moved to another bedroom- at least in that room the beds were better. Yet, the next morning when I wanted to take a shower- there was No Hot Water. Which is not nice on a cool morning... We complained to the owner- who very arrogantly told me that the geyser is only turned on from 1PM to 10PM... Which is totally unacceptable- In my whole life I have never encountered a hostel with such a policy... Plus there is no hooks in the bathroom- so you have to put your towel and toiletries either on the floor or on the toilet when taking a (cold) shower. Breakfast was 2 pieces of toast, jam,a small cup of corn flakes, and coffee ( no cold milk available). In the kitchen there is probably only 2 spoons, and no cups or glasses- only small plastic cups... I think it would be very uncomfortable to stay there in winter- since the reception, kitchen and rooms are all in seperate buildings- no central heating... On the positive side the hostel was clean though. If I ever go to Tafi del Valle again- I'll look for another place to stay.…

Responded 25 Jan 2018
Hola! No incluye queso jamón o huevos. Agradecemos los comentarios, eso nos ayuda a mejorar Saludos cordiales

We loved staying at Monica and Marcela’s hostel. They are really sweet and interesting to talk to, they shared with us all the good places to explore in the Valley, where to get the cheapest bikes and the best & cheapest food. The hostel is really local and cozy (there’s even a lama called Juana) and ideal to know other people. Thank you girls for helping us to discover Tafí and your advice on our trip to Salta. We highly recommend! Ely & Pablo

Very welcoming arrival party of 5 cute dogs and a llama! Amazing breakfast including home made bread, jam and Orange juice (one of the best in southamerica?!) Lovely room. Owners were so helpfull, helping us exchange money when there was no money in the ATM and lending us a hat for a walk! A hidden gem!

We stayed at Nuestro Destino for 2 nights and would definitely return. We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom and communal area that was separate to the communal kitchen and living room (10 second walk across the yard). The room was nicely decorated, clean and cosy with a much needed heater! (Tafi is very cold at this time of year!) The bathroom was up to date and very clean, shower was great. There was a communal fridge to use and a TV in the communal area. Pros: Economical. Very close to the bus terminal (5 minute walk). The setting is gorgeous, looking out on to the mountains. The owners Monica and Marcela are lovely: they know the area well and are happy to advise on things to do, places to visit and where to eat. Well equipped kitchen. The owners have dogs (including a 5 month old puppy!) and a pet llama which was a huge plus for us! Wifi was a bit up and down being in the mountains but generally ok. Cons: Tafi Del Valle is very cold at this time of year so take lots of layers! Breakfast was a good selection (bread/cereal/fruit) but could have been a bit bigger. Overall this is a really well-run hostel and we would definitely return.…

We stayed at nuestro destino for two nights. They were very responsive with our email reservation and when we arrived we were shown immediately to a two-bedroom apartment with its own bathroom, living/dining area, and kitchenette. Really comfortable and clean--it was nice to have our own space for awhile! The shower had plenty of hot water and although the kitchenette didn't have a lot, it was enough to make up basic meals. For some reason (maybe for a lower price?), we were shown the bedroom that had a vastly less comfortable bed. I mean, major sag!! It was more like sleeping in a hammock. Almost. The other bedroom's mattress seemed a million times better; not sure if it was more expensive or we just got unlucky. Especially since we had the whole apartment to ourselves both nights. But the best part was Juanita, the six-month-old llama that hung out in the yard! She was sweet and friendly and since I love stuff like that, she really made the stay a unique joy. Where else do you get your own pet llama? A definite draw. All in all, I would highly recommend Nuestro Destino for a quiet stay in Tafi, especially if you're a fan of llamas!…
