We spent the day at El Pedral. They picked us up close to our hotel in Puerto Madryn and dropped us off there at the end of the day. We drove first to the lighthouse at Punta Ninfas where you can see amazing views while standing on top of the cliffs, and, looking down below, you can see the elephant...

Besides the great social experience in the house it's the private wonderland around the normandy house, which leaves years Long memories. And ... as guest you have it all for yourself. Orcas, seals, sea elephants, pinguins and more, depending on the month of travelling,

Be careful not to miss the gate to El Pedral Lodge as it is not very well sign posted! El Pedral Lodge is a Victorian Villa now belonging to a company which owns Yellow Submarine in Puerto Pyramídes. At time we were there we were the only guests staying. We were received by Gaston who was to be our guide...

Our family had a wonderful experience visiting estancia El Pedral. After a long bumpy ride we finally arrived to an oasis in the middle of a desert. A beautiful Colonial house with a nice pool and dinning room and enjoyed a delicious asado. However the highlight of the visit was the amazing colony of penguins that lives there in the...

On our visit to Puerto Madryn, during our recent South American cruise, we had the very special opportunity to visit Punta Ninfas and Estancia el Pedregal for a delicious Patagonian lunch. This very private tour gave us the opportunity to spend time very close to over 3,000 very cute penguins all by ourselves. In contrast to the thousands of tourist...

This is truly the place where five Tripadvisor's stars are not sufficient to rate it highly enough. We ended up staying there by mere chance whilst exploring Punta Ninfas in search for sea lions and penguins - and called the lodge to try our luck. We were lucky enough to be accommodated for a very reasonable price (I guess it...

I'll start by saying that we did not stay at the lodge, but did an activity offered by them. I found the "safari" when I was looking for something to do that was closer to Puerto Madryn than Peninsula Valdes. The lodge was very responsive and one of the guides helped to arrange our private, small-group tour to Punta Ninfas...

We didn't stay at El Pedral, but visited the area on a day tour, stopping for lunch at El Pedral Lodge. The local area is fabulous for wildlife - penguins, sea-lions, birds, seals and we were lucky enough to see an orca whale too. This is not mass tourism, but small and intimate sightseeing and this day was a highlight...

We had a stressful journey here as our flight from Posadas was cancelled and we missed our connecting flight in BA but managed to get an early morning flight the next day so arrived at 8-30am and were instantly revived by the warm welcome we received, our delightful room and a beautiful breakfast overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Everything here is...

We are long-time world travelers, having had a wide variety of experiences -- gone trekking, climbed mountains, been on safaris, stayed in the world's leading hotels, and dined at most of the five-star restaurants in Europe. El Pedral is different from any of these. It is truly unique in its combination of surroundings of wildlife and scenery; knowledgeable and enthusiastic...
