I liked this Hostel a lot, the stuff is very nice and helpful. The location is just perfect (close to the lake, bus, supermarket and touristic street). I had a nice doubleroom with cooking possibilities, tv and heater. The place is safe and there is a nice garden for sunny days.

We were there only for a short night so not looking for anything fantastic. The place is clean enough, the rooms were not very appealing but were comfortable and the kitchen and dining room were spacious. Located not too far from the bus station.

Rukalhue Hostel San Martin At first glance this place is like a school camp- large dining room with a community kitchen behind, with several refrigerators. We greeted the owner but he only gruffly responded and did not seem interested in his guests at all! The kitchen was old, dirty, with very run down crockery-some of the plastic plates so scratched...

location: great. block from lake. near everything. staff: very friendly, responsive, easy going ambiance: big. that is the best description I have for it. the people staying there were mostly Argentineans on short holiday breaks rather than longer term backpackers. people were friendly but generally socialized within the party they arrived with. facilities: not flashpacker but good for an average...

The hostel is big and the dorm had bunkbeds, that are really high. Try to have a bed below, otherwise you need to climb up before going to bed. The breakfast was excellent and rich. Common area and kitchen are big and well equipped. Very close to the lake or the forest.

I arrived here with my reservation confirmed on my iphone via e mail. They did not have a room and I was forced to find a new location to stay while 2600 people were in town (as I was) to run the Patagonia Run Marathon. I was given my deposit back in cash but then had to spend that money...

The dorms feel like an old boarding school. The toilets and showers are not great, and the top bunks are very high and difficult to climb in and out of. The staff is a bit awkward too. But, the atmosphere in the evening was nice, and especially the breakfast surprised me, with some nice yogurt and sweetbreads that were nice...

We stayed in a four person dorm. It's a nice location with a large kitchen area which was very social. The beds were comfy though the walls were paper thin and the bathrooms were tiny! The staff were really helpful though...it's definitely a good cheap and cheerful option!

we stayed 3 nights in a four person dorm. the room was very small, with unconfortable and very noisy, old bunkbeds. the lockers were less than the beds, but at least there were bedside tables and lights, and big warm duvets. the shared bathrooms were clean, with hamairdries, soap and toilet paper but the shower wasn't always hot but only slightly warm....

We found the hostel rather basic and simple. Having said that, accommodation options in a small town like San Martin are rather limited so unless you're willing to spring more than USD20 a night, you don't really have many choices. The bathrooms are rather run-down compared with the other places we've stayed in but the good showers and hot water...
