I booked the hotel based on online reviews of the fishing (which is world-class), so when I arrived I was blown away by the amenities! The Estancia is on a 20,000 acre ranch owned by a well-respected Argentinian family since 1934. It is a gorgeous setting, amazing food, and so many activities - fishing, hiking and horse back riding (conveniently... More

This is a great escape to the wilderness with 5 star accommodations. The sunrises go on forever and the mountains and sun reflect in the winding stream while your fishing first thing in the morning. It is simply incredible. The horse back riding allows for awesome photographic experiences. If you love to cook, treat yourself to a great cooking lesson... More

Our party of five had a wonderful holiday at the Estancia in early April 2016. We had high expectations and they were met in every regard. We spent much time on horseback and really were amazed at the beauty of the place. The food and wine were excellent and we particularly enjoyed the Argentine pinot noirs (a break from the... More

Based upon a just-completed April 2016 four night/three day stay at Arroyo Verde, I provide comments below regarding this estancia. 1. Views at the estancia and in the vicinity of the estancia are dramatic, and the estancia is secluded and peaceful. 2. The estancia’s hiking and riding trails are covered by a layer of thick volcanic ash which permeates clothing... More

Having just come from spending a month in Patagonia, Arroyo Verde was the highlight of the places we stayed. We were two couples who stayed for 2 nights with the husbands fishing and the wifes trekking (and hanging out). The fishing on the Rio Traful was great. There is approximately 10 miles of private river frontage which is shared by... More

My husband and I have stayed at this cozy estancia for 3 days during a two month trip exploring Argentina. During these months we've tried all the Relais&Chateau properties, big brands like Four Seasons and Park Hyatt Palais Duhau in Buenos Aires etc., but this little place on a huge peace of private land truly won our hearts. Although it's... More
