Owner is really not nice.Room needs updating. Old furniture, No hot water in shower. We had to request a room change or check out but that is not possible. Run away from this place. Value for money ZERO.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights. Brian and Maria were very nice and made us feel at home. Brian speaks English and helped us if we had questions. If you don't need luxury, this is a great place to be. The rooms are not very big, but clean! It's just a stone-throw away from the city center... More

Situated at 5 minutes walk from the city center, it is nice snd clean. Not luxury, but cosy. The hosts are very nice. Argentinian style breakfast (medialunas and coffee) is ok. Wi-fi is very weak, but they also offer computers connected to the internet for tourists' usage. We had a pleasant stay at hosteria Portofino.

We stayed at Hosteria Portofino over December/January 2014. The place is basic and certainly not luxurious. That is probably the worst that I can say. On the other hand, the rooms are clean and well maintained. The position is great , only about 5 minutes walk to Mitre being the Main Street. The staff are friendly and very helpful although English... More

We stayed here for several nights. The owners are very nice and helpful and speak both Spanish and English. The rooms are compact but have everything you need. We took advantage of a special out of season offer on the price which made it outstanding value for money but even at full price I think it's fair. The room we... More

While bicycling through Bariloche we stumbled across this little gem. Canadian and Chileano co-owners. Brian the Canadian has a winery in Mendoza and sells some equisite wines from his cellar down below the hotel, Maria is a chileano firecracker. I only recommended three places after 3 months on my bicycle and this is one of them.

We stayed two nights in this Hosteria, booked through Chalten travel en route on the Ruta 40 and it was a pleasure. The owners, a young family, previous backpackers themselves were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Great location near bars and the city centre, comfortable double room, good internet access with wifi & 2 pcs in a... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, the hosts were very nice, an elderly couple, always had breakfast ready in the morning ( jam and crackers.) And coffee. Our room was clean enough, although we seemed to not get our room cleaned 2 out of the three days, which we didn't mind at all- just reused the towels. I asked for... More
