Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Green House Hostel, Bariloche is one of the best Hostels I have ever been. Its perfect location in front of Lake Nahuel Huapi gives you an astonhishing view not only at breakfast (very filling by the way) but also when you just seat and relax in the cozy living room as you make friends, listen to good music and make the most of such a friendly atmosphere. The owner and the staff are so friendly and ready to help you with anything you need. They made me feel welcome and I thank them all for that. There's a bar downstairs where you can listen to good music, watch TV, enjoy good beer and food and "Gabi", who is responsible for the bar will make you feel comfortable and welcome in no time. As one of the top contibutors for Trip Advisor since when this useful tool for travelers and tourists alike started many years ago I do recommend Green House Hostel to anyone considering enjoying this little piece of Paradise in Argentina.

Stayed 1 night at this hostel, chose it because it was away from the town centre , but not too far. It is not that well sign posted so keep your eyes open! Lovely staff and owner who have a lovely collection of music playing at all times. Walk to the local todo and restaurants.

We stayed for a week at this hostel and enjoyed our stay. We booked a double room and were lucky to get the room with a little balcony overlooking the lake! The hostel is out of town (40 min walk or 15 min bus) but it is on the way into the national park, has supermarkets and restaurants in easy walking distance. Hostel has a garden and you can hang out in the dining area- solid wifi and book exchange there ☺️. Breakfast is included, although the bread is small slices from a French style loaf so you have to eat a lot to fill up! Brian the owner is friendly and helpful and picked us up from the bus station. Some of the other staff I think were volunteer travellers possibly and unfortunately were not very friendly or approachable which was a pity. Overall a great hostel!

This beautiful house has a very cozy vibe with impressive artwork all over. The attention to detail in the hostel makes all the difference. Lots of windows allow for the sun to light the large living area. The huge kitchen is at your disposal, the rooms are clean, large lockers for backpacks, close to the bus stop, awesome staff and good vibes. I really enjoyed using the deck to get some sun, relax and do some yoga. The staff is very welcoming and will make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. They are very knowledgeable and can help you with hiking routes, bus schedules and restaurant suggestions.

Great hostel, the hosts are very friendly, beautiful view from the bedroom, nice common space. Only problem was it was kinda far away from the city centre. 4 kms, 40 minutes walking, or had to take bus. The price was not the best, but it was worth it. Would totally recommend it.

I stayed here in March 2015. It's a little out of town (a short bus ride down the lake) but to stay within the bustling town of Bariloche is to kind of miss the point in coming here. I immediately made a load of friends - who remain in contact to this day. The staff are excellent, very helpful and do get involved. This is my top recommendation to stay in Bariloche and Patagonia. Missing it!

Had a wonderful week stay Highlights: - yummy free breakfast - incredible staff Brian and Santi. Very professional, kind, flexible and helpful - relaxed and friendly hostel vibe - not a party hostel - washing for 60 pesos, same day service - 1 minute walk from buses on main road which takes you everywhere - just out of town which is nice as it's more quiet - kitchen to cook - range of rooms to choose from - lockers in the dorm room were nice and big - within walking distance to 2 supermarkets, both with alcohol. Would definitely stay here again! Only thing may be for staff to get some new kitchen knives, or sharpen the current ones. And a few more chopping boards.

This hostel had everything we looked for. Great staff, good breakfast (by the argentinian standard) and perfect location. It is a short busride from city center but on the way to all the attractions in town. That is why we picked it. Shorter busride to the nationalparks and the highlights of this area. It is a clean hostel with a nice deck on the backside where you can hang out. They went all in solving so we could stay for two more nights!! Wifi is good, they have two different so the signal is strong. We would highly recommend this place.

Far out from the center of town, but on the road that leads you to all the hiking paths and all the wonderful outdoor spots Bariloche has to offer. So it's an excellent location but depending on what you're looking for. The hostel is very clean and seems almost new - some of the nicest facilities I have seen in Argentina. Outdoor patio is relaxing & lovely. Breakfast is basic and ends too early @10am. Grocery store is far walk. Bus stops right out front. Door code to get in hostel & room key needed. Also - the atmosphere of this hostel is very very quiet, chill and relaxed, which is great for those who want a nice place to work during the day and are tired from trekking all day. It's not a "party hostel" (do those exist in Bariloche?), and in fact, a lot of people were quite anti-social which was unfortunate. But I made 3 great friends from my 4 days there!
