Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for two nights, the hostel is in a great location 4.7k on Bustillo. It's a bright and spacious hostel, we had a twin room which was a good size with a shared bathroom which was well designed; separate bathroom for men and women with two showers and two basins.
Breakfast was basic but as good as anywhere else and the kitchen was well set up.
Notably the hostel was spotlessly clean.
The service that we received from the team at the hostel was good they gave some fantastic advice on a walk to Frey which is well worth doing and were really helpful with taxi bookings and restaurant reservations.

This is one of the better hostels we have stayed in. We had a great attic room, spacious, excellent private shower room...shower extremely strong, and a small kitchen. We wouldn't have prepared a massive meal but we could make a brew, put our stuff in the fridge and get buttes together etc. The communal space was also really nice. Very light and airy, full tables and seating areas. The communal kitchen is also quite good, it's open plan with the dining area and had stacks of utensils. The owner is very conscious of the cleanliness of the place and it was always clean and tidy. The hostel is a bit out of town but is nearer the hikes and cable car, the bus stop is two minutes away and is only 3 p into town, buses are every five minutes or so. We liked being slightly outside and nearer the countryside. Also there is a supermarket and a few restaurants near by. We got free pick up from the bus station and were allowed stay in the hostel with our luggage and use wifi, toilet and kitchen on our last day as our bus wasn't till later that day. There was a large screen pulled down at night and music was played. I wouldn't call it a a party hostel, ( we are in our 40's but it wasn't dead either). There were a good mix of ages, pensioners and young travelers. If you didn't like the music I get the impression the owner would have turned it down anyway. We didn't have any noise in our attic room which was great. Can't comment on dorms but everyone we spoke to seemed happy enough. Also had excellent wifi, although not in the attic room. All round really good hostel.

The rest of the reviews didn’t lie! I came here because I saw the consistently excellent reviews and I was not disappointed. I IMMMEDIATELY felt at home thanks to the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. Santiago and Brian are great (Brian is the owner), and really, genuinely care about you and your experience here. You can chat with them about anything and they have plenty of insight and advice, and are MORE than willing to help you out in arranging tours and excursions, solo or group ones. The kitchen is very cute, plenty of space and has everything you need to cook up some comfort food after a long day. The rooms were nice as well, with lamps and outlets by each bed (even the top bunks); the beds were also very comfortable. I felt well-rested and ready for more adventure each morning.
The wifi is great, I had no issues. In fact, I was even able to stream a quick episode of Friends while I waited for my bus! For your computer needs, they have two in the “office area” by the kitchen for whenever you need them. This hostel is VERY clean as well.
This hostel makes you feel like part of their family, as staff and travelers get together and enjoy a beer or share dinner together almost every evening. It’s great for those who don’t necessarily want to go out to party and prefer a smaller, more intimate group of friends to chat with. Occasionally, the ground’s cat, Bolivia stops by to say hello, so cat lovers rejoice!
Sometimes the distance of this hostel is a deterring factor, but it all depends on the type of person you are. At roughly 4.7km down Avenida Bustillo, it’s a ways from the city’s center but it’s not a ridiculous distance. I preferred it because it was quiet and chill, and very close to nature. Plus, the bus stop is right in front of the street that the hostel is on, so it’s not a big deal. The breakfast is simple: bread, coffee, tea, cereal, so if you need that protein boost in the morning like I do, supplement it with some nuts, eggs or protein powder.
This is the kind of hostel where you say to yourself, “if I ever come back to xxx, I will stay at this hostel again. In fact, I met a girl from Buenos Aires who did just that, as this was her second time at Green House.
If I come back, When I come back, I am definitely staying in the top floor loft because I see and hear great things about it! Someday! ;)

If you want to make friends...this is hostel to stay at. The staff is the best the threw an amazing barbecue for the whole hostel and we ended up making friends with everyone. They also organized brewery tours. I know the staff can set up anything you want to do...unfortunately we were somewhat limited as a volcano in Chile erupted during our stay and we couldn't do much due to the massive amount of ash. We were so thankful we were staying here as we couldn't have been staying in better place to enjoy being couped up inside for a week. They have two rooms for couples in the top level (where we stayed) and really enjoyed it. Other than that, they have several dorms. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Where to begin. First, Brian and Nick who run the hostel were always present, either cleaning or cooking or just hanging out and chatting with guests. They were helpful with anything we needed, even going so far as to give us a ride to the terminal the last day in Bariloche. The kitchen is beautiful, with ample space for three or four separate meals to be cooked by guests at one time, and the living room/common space is sizeable, even including a pull down big screen tv that we got to watch the Copa Libertadores on. It is slightly out of town, but the town isn't large enough to warrant being there all the time. This place was perfect, and I would come back a hundred times over.

We stayed 2 nights at Greenhouse. We had a nice double room with private bathroom on the top floor with partial views of the lake. .The hostel has somewhat of a hipster atmosphere and kitchen, hammocks, common areas, laptop for traveller use etc are all available and in relatively good shape. The only negative things to say about the place was the negative attitude of some of the staff. I don't know if it was because we do not speak Spanish very well but some of the guys working there were not helpful at all. We would still recommend the place - especially for single travelers as I am sure that you meet a lot of friendly people there and perhaps the guys were just having bad days when we were there...
Also the hostel is 5km away from the center but for us that was only a positive thing and also busses are easy.

You feel just like at home in this big, beautiful house located 4 km from town. We enjoyed staying on the outskirts of Bariloche which was never a problem since there are many buses bringing you to and from the town center. The rooms, dorms included, are spotless. Comfortable beds, excellent bedding and impeccable bathrooms with space. The well equipped kitchen is open concept looking onto an cozy common area with big bay windows. Our family had a wonderful stay at Green House and we would like to give a warm thank you to Brian and Martina for there help in organizing our few days in this beautiful part of the country.

We had a wonderful stay at Greenhouse Hostel Bariloche. The owner, Brian, is very friendly and accessible. They picked us up at the airport and gave us a ride back there at a very reasonable rate. The kitchen and dining area are by far the largest we saw anywhere in South America. You have full access to the large kitchen. The rooms and beds are comfortable, the bathrooms very nice and spacious. We would definitely stay there again. It is a bus ride from town, but is on the main line.

If you're looking for a very welcoming hostel with a cool vibe, nearby access to the lake, delicious breakfast and the most charming owners - that's the one.
My husband and I stayed at this hostel for a week last december and had a really great time. The rooms are clean and very nice, especially the ones in the attic. Really good music is always playing at the common room and there's also a yard in which you can relax in the sun or play with franky - the owners cute dog.
Brian and Cande were amazingly helpful with e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g and they truly make you feel like home. (Muchas Gracias si leen esta. estaba un placer conocer te:):):) )
We honestly didn't want to leave and hope to come back one day..:)

I don't think there is any restaurant around the hostel, you'll have to go downtown. Because i was with a vegetarian friend, we didn't find many options. The hostel have nice kitchen, so we used to cook.
