We went down for a few days in February of 2020 and couldn't have had a better experience. We paid for the adventure package, and it was well worth it. We spent 1 week in Patagonia and the days at Peuma-Hue were my favorite. We were given our cabin right away, and it was more than big enough for the four of us. Everything we needed to stay comfortable. We quickly dropped our suitcases and walked to the horse corral where we met Agustine. He geared us up and, after learning which of us had horseback experience and which didn't, he gave us horses that matched our ability. While we rode, he told us all about he estancia, the history, the land, how it all works, its plans for the future etc etc. The ride was beautiful. There were a few spots on the trail where we were allowed to gallop and run if we wanted to. After the horseback ride, we walked back to the cabin to change for a hike. There are several well marked and maintained hiking trails to take but Agustine recommended the pink trail. There were a few great stops along the way, including a big waterfall which felt like a much needed blast of AC when standing near it. The summit was breathtaking and a great photo opportunity as it overlooked two lakes and a giant green valley. Quick shower and a short walk (everything is walking distance) to the main lodge for happy hour. A spiffied up Agustine served us drinks while we waited for dinner to be served. Dinner was a set menu with an option for meat lovers and vegetarians. We never left hungry, especially with the desserts! The next day we had a white water rafter excursion planned. This was very well organized through Peuma Hue and we couldn't speak more highly of the guides they arranged for us. The rapids were exciting and frequent. The scenery was amazing, but there wasn't much time to take a picture before the next rapid came up. Passports were required as the trip ended in Chile. We were well fed and tired by the time they dropped us off at the Estancia. The following morning we begrudgingly packed our bags and said our goodbyes to the wonderful staff and the gentle dogs that lounge outside the lodge. Anyways, this was more long winded than I expected, but remembering the places, people, views and events was very easy, even after 3 months. I would highly recommend this to anyone from a single traveler, a couple, a family with kids to a group of friends. The place had a warm an friendly vibe with just the right amount of structure built into the day. Patagonia is an amazingly beautiful place, and this is the perfect place to experience that beauty.

Of a two week adventure through northern Patagonia, this was my favorite place that we stayed. I suspect a huge reason is because of the specific room we were given - the Master Suite in the Poplar House. The views from the room and double jacuzzi tub were spectacular. The size of the room felt like we were in an apartment. We were close to activities and wifi worked just fine. Some friends that were staying in some of the villas did not have as great an experience as wifi didn't work and they didn't like having to trek so far to/from the villa for all the main activities. I loved having all the wild and pet animals roaming the grounds - dogs, cats, birds, horses, etc. I loved being able to do so many different activities directly from the location and not having to endure a long bus ride somewhere - plenty of hiking and water activities without having to leave. The whole atmosphere felt like being at home instead of being at a hotel - very warm, inviting, and casual.

As part of our National Geographic multi sport tour we stayed 3 nights at the Estancia. What a beautifully tranquil place. Accommodations were provided in beautiful multi suite bedrooms. Ours was actually within the horse corral which provided daily greetings by these wonderful creatures. The setting on the shore of the lake and the base of the mountains provided kayaking, hiking and horseback riding. The guides were exceptional and the meals and service five ⭐️s!

I just spent a wonderful week at Estancia Peuma Hue and I heartily recommend it. The location on the lake is stunning and the staff are incredible. I enjoyed all of the activities offered, but the setting is so serene and peaceful that it's perfect even if you just want to read a book and relax. My room was on the second floor of the main house and had gorgeous views of the lake and mountains on all sides. The food was great and the dining room staff was very, very accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to return here and hope that I can one of these days.
