We booked this hotel thru Chimu Adventures which had arranged our activities in Bariloche. Their booking indicated, and we were charged for, “standard room (superior accommodation)”. When our group of 8 arrived, it was anything but. Turns out “standard” is economy. Which meant our rooms faced the street, one floor above the all night bus park and the disco next door which opened at midnight and went until 6 am. The rooms were run down with furnishings that had long since seen better days. The noise was unbelievable and there is no air conditioning so it was not possible to close the window without stifling in the heat. We attempted to pay for an upgrade but were told the hotel was full. After 2 sleepless nights, we were able to move to a tiny room that faced the rear wall of…
Truly enjoyed this hotel & the entire Bariloche experience. One of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. The views from the bar, our room, & the pool are incredible. The staff were friendly & helpful & the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel for your visit to this beautiful town & the area. It is conveniently located within walking distance of everything.
I came only to the spa for one day since in my hotel it was not meeting my expectations and it was amazing. The staff is friendly, kind and had an amazing massage and facial treatment. The view from the spa is wonderful.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. We had a fantastic view of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. Buffet contained a few more items than usual, including different cheeses, than we had become accustomed to -- a welcome change from the sameness of hotel breakfast buffets we had encountered. There is a very nice psuedo-Italian restaurant right across the street, which was very convenient (and the food very good - to be reviewed separately). Hotel staff's English language proficiency is excellent. Pool/spa area is beautiful. Beach access is a little tricky but no fault of the hotel -- most of the lakefront is rocky. Hotel is in walking distance of the parts of Bariloche that a tourist would most likely want to see for purchasing trinkets…
The hotel is located on the lake shore, about 5-10 minutes to walk to the center of Bariloche, beautiful rooms overlooking the lake, very comfyand spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The bar also ovelooks the lake and has good drinks, salads and pizzas. The hotel has a very nice spa with big indoor swimming pool( of course also overlooking the lake)
This hotel puts you right on the lake with a very short walk into town. The town was quite a tourist oriented place although there were a few good restaurants. So it was nice to get back to our hotel and enjoy it's quaint bar and the very good restaurant they have, especially with the wind during our visit. Sitting in the bar you can watch the wind driven waves crash on the shore. An indoor pool and hot tub is a joy when it is cold and windy outside too. Very comfortable and a very nice staff as well.
We stopped here for two nights on our tour of Argentina and Chile. The bar, and our room had views to die for. The room itself was very tired-looking, and needs urgent updating. Pillows were very hard, and the room very hot. We were able to keep a window open ( no air conditioning) but another couple from our tour were unlucky, - they had a ground floor room with doors, so could not. The breakfast buffet was ok but the bar food was tasty and very good value.
Lovely hotel with fabulous views across the lake to snow capped peaks . Front desk was responsive to issues with our allocated room , and upgrade was much appreciated . The bed was very comfortable and room spacious and welcoming . The public areas were light and comfortable Breakfast was good. I could imagine that it would be a good hotel for families ,as well as couples ,with the pool and some games in a spacious lounge area. Easy walk to the centre of town and many restaurants . The welcome drink was a nice touch , pity it didn’t include an option for a glass of wine like many other hotels do!
This was a great hotel. Excellent location right on the lake with beautiful views of the Andes. The rooms were large and well equipped. The sleep comfort was great with comfortable beds and linens. All in all a great stay.
Our room overlooked the lake and the views are great. However our room looks nothing like the picture even though it is supposed to be delux. The room is very tired and the bathroom at least 20 years old with very poor lighting. The reception at checkin were very friendly and no complaints there. The breakfast was at best very average, and I have had better in 2 star hotels. If you want meats for breakfast fine but everything else mediocre. The only eggs on offer unless you want to pay were scrambled and looked like they had been there a few hours. All the cereals were for children and heavily sugared. No granola or other breakfast products Would I recommend this place, I don’t know as I am not sure what else is around. I guess they get great ratings because of the…
