Estancia El Condor is one of the most romantic places I've yet to visit in all of Argentina. There were always fresh delicious meals being cooked and lovely snacks at tea time. But if you go, you MUST book excursion to La Nana via horseback. So remote, so many stars and so perfectly peaceful. If you get Charlie or Ale... More

A really special place to stay in remote Patagonia. Great hiking directly from the estancia. After hiking in a number of other areas throughout Patagonia that were very busy, these trails were incredibly quiet and obviously hiked less often. Wonderful meals, great staff and the views of the lake and surrounding area were just wonderful.

I strongly reccomend not to go to Ea. El Condor. Service was poor and unprofessional, room was ridicously dirt (i'm not talking about country side mood but month of dust) bedclothes were not changed. And what about food? Day 1 boiled rice with a couple of mushrooms, day 2 rice with carrots and pumpkins. Dreaming "asado"? LOL! You won't get... More

We enjoyed everything about our time at El Condor. The staff was cheerful and obliging, the horseback rides and views breathtaking, the rooms clean and spacious and the food delicious. If you like hiking, horses, fishing or just being away from it all, you will love Estancia El Condor.

Four and a half hours by arranged transport out of Calafate, and the last many of those km on loose gravel road over many streams (which does indeed mean that those thinking about a passenger car might think twice certain times of year), and you are in another world. Really, another world. People think it's adventurous to get to El... More

This estancia is very remote, about 4h drive from El Chalten, the last 120km on gravel. It is literally 'at the end of the road'. But the road to it is beautiful. The place is located on the lake of San Martin. It is an estancia with several nice, clean and basic rooms, 'campo style'. In the living room and... More

We came to Estancia el Condor to add some riding to our Patagonian trip, and to see an area that isn't on the usual route. First, the scenery at Lago San Martin in incredible, and different from what you see at El Calafate and El Chalten. It is much more rugged and moist, and even within the Estancia you experience... Arriving to El Condor is an experience, it is MILES from ANYWHERE! It is a place to be seen to be believed. It's definitely all about the location and the people. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. But you should not be in your room much here! The few hours of electricity and lack of signal are a... More

The trip from Calafate to EL Condor was amazing. 4 hours and viewing only a few houses and not 1 in the last 2 hours drive. It is very far away from the fast pace world and brings you to beautiful nature for an authentic and very basic experience. Due to the remoteness, expect basics in many ways. Limited heated... More
