Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Their strap line is “the luxury of simplicity” we would agree but would add the luxury of : vast landscapes, lakes and glaciers, time and space to chill and relax, wonderful food and drinks and fantastic kind hospitality. We stayed 5 nights and spent two full days on different glacier tours , organised through the hotel, great days out. The remaining time we spent around the hotel, walking, horse riding, zip wire and just relaxing in this beautiful hotel. Thank you to everyone at the hotel, a very very special place.

We were only here for 2 nights but made the most of it. The hotel is lovely with stunning views to Lago Argentino or towards Torres del Paine. Picture windows make the most of it. The hotel looks made of “wriggly tin” as corrugated iron is called in Scotland painted cream. Nice courtyard planting. Comfortable room and well equipped bathroom. Laundry was returned within 24 hours which was great. We went for a ride to the lagoon with nice gentle horses. We were offered the same trek the next day or up behind the hotel where we were headed later. I felt we were on token journeys as most people are out seeing glaciers or visiting El Chattan. However that’s the only niggle. The food was delicious. Staff went the extra mile to look after us. Valentine the manager was visible and

This is a tough review to write because I am really torn about our stay at Eolo. The hotel's location is absolutely incredible. The pictures do not do it justice. Furthermore, the feel of the hotel, the quiet, the calm, the feeling that it's all just for you, is really special. It feels like a special place from the moment you arrive. The food is terrific and the staff are so warm and friendly. This should all easily make Eolo one of the best hotels in the world, but during our stay, some things just fell short of expectations. Before I get into that, I do want to note that the high level with which we set of our expectations were based on the price of this hotel. During our stay, the rate (which is full board) was $1,100 a night. At this price point, we expected a level of

Fabulous location, superb service and food. There are a few niggles eg allow enough time for breakfast which is very slow as they are understaffed (particularly important if you are leaving early for the glacier or a trek). Massages were superb, although the spa is limited (steam room broken when we were there). Check the excursions and taxis. Extraordinarily expensive - over $300 per person plus $250 for a taxi to do the Solo Patagonia glacier trip. Only found out the charge when the bill arrived! Food and wine were excellent and the scenery is stunning. It is very light late and early so take a mask!

EOLO, After having traveled to more than 20 countries and experienced amazing locations, cultures, cuisines, EOLO is at the top of the list! This place has amazing staff(many of which are young adults), it is tranquil, and the food is out of this world and second to none!! The facilities are extraordinarily clean and the staff will go into your room during the day and make sure that you have everything you need! You truly feel that you were in a country within a country!

We opted to start our Argentinian holiday at Eolo. Coming off of long work weeks and our first proper trip post Covid shutdowns, we were hoping for a place to unwind and decompress. I’ve read all the reviews about how beautiful the grounds are, how wonderful the hotel is, and spectacular the food is, and the experience of it is so much more than I had hoped for. The estancia is remote, beautiful, and unhurried. The hotel (notwithstanding what other reviews have groused about) is the perfect accompaniment to the setting. There are charming nooks everywhere with a comfortable sofa and beautiful photo book to peruse. The worn comfort of the furnishings and dishes adds to, not detracts from, the experience of it all. It would seem so incongruous to have a posh and modern interior to

The grounds surrounding this property are absolutely stunning. Remote, but sgtill an easy 25-minute taxi ride into town if you feel like a bit of commercialism amongst all of the splendid nature. Food is delicious, drinks flow freely and the hotel is set up for vistas from all four sides. However, it could be a true stunner if a designer came in and gave it a very easy face lift. Replace the dining room furniture and stark white banquet style linens--all of it. Use the breakfast dishes in natural shades on cool pottery for dinner as well (why the weird old lady china for the evening meal?) Do away with the shabby chic, this could be in your grandmother's living room aesthetic. It's so easy to replace dark wood with blond wood, rustic wood, cool modern lighting etc. With a

This place is out of this world!!!! Since you step foot in the property you are cared for and pampered to all your needs. The property is beyond beautiful, you sleep like a baby in an ambience fit for a movie, the wind blows all night and it makes it a great sleep (unless you are bothered by noise then bring earplugs ;)). The food is amazing! All meals are 3 courses, amazingly prepared and everything is of the highest quality. Portions are neat, makes it easy to feel satisfied and not stuffed. I highly recommend having the hamburger for lunch, it's ib the bar menu.... amazing!!! All activities are great, highly recommend the horseback riding with Matias. I will definitely come back! Thank you to everyone fo such a great stay, especially Ezequiel, Melina, Ariana, and everyone in

I am told that the name Eolo is derived from Aeolus, the Greek god of the wind, and I thoroughly understand why it is an apt name for this hotel. The wind here is an ever present current but so is the friendly professional service. Everyone works to make you feel like you are the only guest. Make no mistake that this is a magical experience — a first class ranch oasis in El Calafate area on 12,000 acres of pristine beauty formed by the receding glaciers. Every staff member is friendly, helpful and professional. The welcome from the Manager on down is extraordinary. The views in any direction are magnificent. The rooms are so comfortable (the beds, pillows and other details). The rooms also seem to be constantly cleaned when you step out. And if you are lucky enough to get a

Leaving El Calafate and driving into the wilderness to Eolo is an experience in itself, and as we turned off the main road onto the long track up to the hotel we saw aguila mora’s (eagles) almost every two metres, as well as hares and foxes darting about the wide-open plains. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, dressed in chic ranch style, and given a fantastic introduction to the area and the hotel. The views across the valley, including Chile’s Torres del Paine mountain range, a mere 80km away, are spectacular and every corner of the hotel, from the super comfy lounge to the peaceful library, invites you to sit back, relax and simply absorb the beauty. Every meal was delicious and perfectly presented with attentive staff. We enjoyed an afternoon horse trek and felt like real
