Casa de Grillos is a bit of a walk up from the Calafate bus station and main street (~15-20 minutes), closer to the Nimez Lagoon. Our room was basic and not luxurious, but roomy enough and comfortable. Mostly we enjoyed the very hospitable reception from Analia and her daughter, including celebrating New Year's 2014 with them over an excellent lamb... More

I'm not sure who the people in this picture are and perhaps they are lovely. When we stayed in December, there was a lady called Ana running the place (who it seemed owned it, but perhaps was a member of the same family as she talked of being there a long time) who was not lovely. We arrived at about... More

I spent just one night in this cosy and coloured B&B in October 2007 but I can't forget the beauty of this place and the warm, smiling faces of the owners Alejandro and Marta always ready to help and assist their guests. This "casa" is located not far from the center, just a few minutes walking distance, in a peaceful... More

This charming hotel was a great base to explore the region. Anita was brilliant, helping us book excursions, restaurants and even tracking down our lost luggage! The rooms were warm, comfortable and good value for money. Highly recommended!

We spent 3 nights at Casa de Grillos. Our room was very comfortable and the B & B was walking distance from the main part of town. The owners, Marta and Alejandro, could not have been nicer. They offered medicine when one of us became ill. The common area were large and comfortable, as was our room. A minor complaint.... More

Martha and Alejandro are a charming couple that gave us everything we needed for our stay: nice cabin with comfortable beds, a tiny kitchen with the basics so you could arrange your own meals (no breakfast included), a very clean bathroom and the nicest environment in Calafate, a few blocks away from the noise of main street. Casa de Grillos... More

We really enjoyed staying at Casa de Grillos. We got a great welcome from Alejandro who, upon my request, spoke slowly and so clearly to me in Spanish that I could understand (yay!) - all about the various options for activities in the area - so we had a very clear idea about what was available. We liked the quiet... More

We've stayed 3 nights by Martha and Alejandro : you are welcome like in your family. You can feel immediatly that they both love their region and are pleased to give you some advices. The rooms are simple but very functionnal, clean and warm enough. At breakfast you always have a home made cake or local speciality with bread, fruits,... More

I have been meaning to write this review for almost two years, but I think the fact that I am finally writing it speaks to how memorable this B&B was. The B&B is clean and well located, with a good breakfast. But what really sticks out in my mind was how wonderful the owners are!! We had a great time... More

Four of us just returned from a whirlwind tour of Argentina which included a few days in El Calafate and a stay at Casa de Grillos B&B. We really enjoyed it!
