We stayed at the Albergue for one night, arriving from Chalten and going to an Estancia, it was just fine given the dimensions of the room; breakfast was of very low quality;the attendant could not get us a convenient car hire but called a taxi driving us to the Perito Moreno that resulted to be a good solution since Pedro... We stayed in this place for 3 nights in a double private room with bathroom. The rooms are not big, and they are a bit dated, especially the bathroom. However staff was great, especially Eugenio who went out of his way to give us information, made a lot of calls on our behalf to know about times, prices etc. He... More

This was a very convenient hostel close to the bus station and downtown. There are a range of room types and we were able to change to quieter ones as it got busy with the younger crowd. Eugenio was one of the most helpful and friendly staff of any accommodation we have ever used.

Small hostel, just 1-minute walk from the bus station, really cosy and welcoming. Estella, who owns the place, but also Eugenio and Pedro who work there, are among the most warm and welcoming people I have met throughout Argentina! They are willing to help you in whatever you may need, not only on hostel-related issues but on your holidays overall.... More

This was our second visit to El Calefate and we wish we had found this on the first stay. It is so convenient for the bus station. We had a lovely personal welcome from the owner who put us at ease immediately. We were staying across the road from the hostel in a twin room situated in a beautifully scented... More

The people are really friendly! Breakfast is great as they bake there own bread and make fresh coffee! It is 150 meters from the bus station and 5 minute walk from the city centre with all touristic stuff. The rooms are really small and the lockers are in the hall, which is also not big. That makes it sometimes a... More

This is a very charming hostel, with several possibilities: bedrooms for 2, 3, 4 and camping. We stayed in a bedroom for 2, with private bathroom. Very clean, warm and cosy. Not luxurious, but comfortable. The walls are very thin, so we had trouble sleeping one night or two. But because everybody sleeps early and we were always tired, it... More

Laid back atmosphere with good music in communal areas. Well equipped communal kitchen. Bright and cheerfully painted walls. Lovely garden with lots of flowers. Breakfast has fresh bread and croissants. Wifi was decent speed and available in rooms. Showers had reliable hot water. Laundry service offered. 70 USD pn in high season is expensive but within the standard range of... More

Traveling through Patagonia, I have stayed 1 night in El Calafate and only by chance stumbled upon this place. The atmosphere was great, I felt really welcome and very safe. Very good quality of wifi, comfortable social "living" room and bedrooms. The staff was amazing! As I speak only absolute basic Spanish and had some issues with flight booking, the... More

We stayed here for two nights. The hostel has two parts, with one building on each side of the road. We stayed in the building opposite the main one, with bigger, en-suite rooms. Although these rooms are more expensive, I would recommend this as the rooms with shared bathrooms were much smaller and more basic - like a row of... More
