There are few places where even today, you can firsthand live the experience of transiting landscapes overflowing with emotions and pleasures of exploration and discovery. Tierra del Fuego, framed in a setting of charm and beauty, offers diversity of seeing unique scenes like the northern steppes, lakes and forests of the center, peaks and glaciers of the imposing mountains and mysteries, stories and unfathomable legends of the Beagle Channel. In 1993, a visionary family, foreseeing tourism development that later would have the city of Ushuaia, undertook the construction of the first 5 star hotel from Tierra del Fuego. With a unique and warm style, our distinctive property has hosted over its 20 years of life a vast number of personalities from politics, science, culture and sport.

This is a beautifully located cozy hotel just below the Martial Glacier. The customer service is superior in all aspects and the breakfast buffet offers a large variety to satisfy every palate. Electrically operated fresh orange juice machine is a nice touch and the coffee is fresh and hot. The rooms are tight in space and the architecture creates various wall angles that may be uncomfortable. The shower tub is narrow and the glass is only half and fixed, causing water to spill out. Room lighting can be improved. A city view room is recommended. The regular shuttles to downtown are convenient.

Thank you Zeeman215 for your comments, Our most precious good, is our people and we consider its is because of them our customers choose us from all the others. The hotel has just its 26th birthdate and our company (which acquired it since a few) its remodeling the entire building, some are visible, like the lobby, breakfast area and our Jauke bar) and others like ceiling or plomery also been made. Will continue with the refurnish this winter and next year too. It is our priority to accomplish every customer review and comments, we believe it's the only way to grow and we thank you for that. Located just above the city on the road to the glacier sits this well run resort hotel. The staff is first rate and well led. The facility is attractively designed with well considered landscaping. Transporation to the city is frequent and complimentary while those with autos will like the free parking. There are many activities for the family to amuse themselves and you'll never tire of the views. The complimentary breakfast is ample and offers all sorts of food choices. Most of the rooms offer great views of the bay and mountains and are well appointed and spacious. The beds are comfortable and large as are the towels and bathrooms.

This is a beautiful hotel with stunning views and a great restaurant. The spa is lovely but as per previous reviews the jacuzzi is about 50 degrees.

The service is a bit mixed, this might be due to the lack of English spoken by some staff, but the impact was fairly minor.

If you want to stay somewhere quiet, relaxing with great views this is a good choice.

Ushuaia is a cruise ship town in peak season so this hotel gives you a welcome break from the crowds as it sits up on a hill overlooking the town and water. There are hiking trails directly behind the hotel that offer great views too. You will want an uber to go to/from town as it is a bit of an uphill climb but those are inexpensive and easy to get. Breakfast we nicely done and included. The spa is a hidden gem with nice massage and facial options in a lovely location for a very reasonable price.

Really beautiful hotel. I was here travelling solo before a trip to Antarctica.

The hotel staff were very helpful from the moment I arrived and were helpful in giving me recommendations for vegan options in the city.

The hotel is in a very beautiful spot offering stunning views of Ushuaia. Would recommend grabbing a coffee (they offer complimentary coffees at certain times of day) and sit up by reception where there is a wonderful view.

The hotel offers a shuttle bus multiple times a day to and from the hotel to the city centre- the drop off point is by the “fin del Mundo” sign. This was very handy.

They also have a beautiful spa where I had a lovely massage for a reasonable price (around 30 US dollars for 50 mins) and used the sauna. There is also a steam room and pool.

Breakfast was a nice buffet with a good selection - I have allergies and the staff were so helpful and kind in ensuring that I had options - the same when I ordered room service (again very reasonable prices).

The hotel offers guided walks and other nice things each day like forest bathing but sadly I didn’t get a chance to try this!

The rooms are very nice, the only thing I noticed was my cups in my room were a little dirty but I have no doubt that had I asked for a replacement this would have been actioned.

Would highly recommend if looking for a tranquil relaxing hotel with amenities approx 10 mins away in the city centre.

Las Hayas has what must be one of the best views in Ushuaia, looking down over the town and across the Beagle Channel to the mountains of Tierra del Fuego in Chile. Being out of town, a walk in is impracticable, and whilst there is a shuttle service, it is infrequent after the morning rush. The foyer and dining areas appear to have had a recent refurbishment and are excellent, with soaring timber and stone walls. The rooms are very comfortable and of a good size, and with a pleasant but quite different decor - perhaps the rooms are slowly being redone as well. Meals are very good but not outstanding. Terrific staff. There are many activities available but as we were only there two days we only took the guided walk up into the hills above the resort. Our lovely guide spoke no English, and we speak no Spanish, but we got translations from the two couples who went with us. This is common is South America, that English is not widely spoken even in larger cities. Given that most tourists in South America are South American, and they all speak Spanish except for Brazil, it is understandable. All hotel front-of-house staff we dealt with here and elsewhere, however, did speak English. We should have worked harder on our Spanish! The walk we went on needs little commentary anyway, and we went back twice on our own, exploring side tracks. You can't get lost, and the scenery is gorgeous. The resort overall is lovely, and very quiet. Highly recommended.

To call this a 5 star hotel is an absolute joke. Other that the impressive views from the main lobby area which has a nice open appearance this place is a huge disappointment. The rooms are frumpy and poorly equipped. The single 2 by 3 foot window in the room we booked weeks in advance barely let any light into the grotesque dark red walled room. The furniture and bathroom equipment seemed like they had been purchased at a garage sale or second hand store. The clunky elevator ( which only fits 3 people) clanged all the time. Our companions actually had a real window in their equally frumpy room. When we both tried to change the rooms the staff all but acknowledged we had a really crappy room but they could not change it even if we offered to pay for an upgrade because they were full - so we are stuck here. We made a reservation for dinner so will see if the food is ok. However based on the rooms alone I could not recommend staying here if you have another alternative.

The view over Ushuaia's rooftops is almost worth the price, the small, basic guest rooms, and the necessity of aa rental car to get anywhere -- either into town or to Tierra del Fuego National Park or the Maritial Glacier. The swimming pool is too small for laps, and the indoor jacuzzis were lukewarm. However, the Japanese soaking outside in the garden tub was toasty. The dinner dishes were pricey and nothing special, but the breakfast buffet was abundant and tasty.

The hotel is at the most of high level of the city, and based on the search of hotel I had performed while looking for a place to stay, Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort was one of most of category by price and rating.
Getting to the hotel is bit apart from the downtown, but on the flip side it provide nice view of the area. The breakfast and dining area is nice, quite and spacious with combination of sitting area as sofa style sitting and regular table. There is wide variety of choice to select for breakfast, from type of yogurt, grain, pastry, able to make own toast, and fruits and juice.
Regarding the room, unfortunately it comes short to the expectation from high level hotel. It felt as the room was clean but sort of left in the middle of remodeling. The wall cover with very old style decoration, in the bathroom part were covered as if hiding work in progress.
The bed was good for nice sleep as being two double bed but still big enough for each of us.
The hotel offered transportation to/from downtown with some frequency starting from morning to night. However, doesn't offer transportation from/to airport despite of being in the same city as many hotel of brand would.
It lack outlet and variety of plug for multiple devices, had to unplug existing light and others in order to be able to charge devices.
Can't say much of other offering of hotel as mostly spent the day/night outdoor. But it offers gym and spa.

The hotel is away from town and high up the hill. There are hiking trials around the hotel which offer a great view of the city. There is a pool and a gym in another wing. The room is spacious with good toiletry. The food quality of dinner and breakfast was very good.

The wifi in the room was slow and it’s much faster in the lobby. The water pressure in the shower can be better. There’s no air-conditioning in the room so it can be hot in the room even in the middle of the night. There’s a shuttle bus service to and from town but it’s infrequent (every 2 hours).

We probably will stay in a hotel in town in our next visit.
