Anyone visiting Ushuaia will have done an amount of research and will either love the place or hate it. It's very much an industrial town, rough and ready and with a general take it or leave it attitude. Everywhere is up a hill running from the port to the top of the town so be prepared to hike up a... We stayed here one night before we boarded our ship to Antarctica. It was recommended by the ship. We chose it because it would be easier to transfer our luggage. At USD$200 per night it was a bit expensive The plusses--the hotel is new, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, there is free wi-fi and the reception area... More

Obliging front reception staff and pleasant lobby area, but it ends there. Room featureless, thin pillow, no extra bedding, no soundproofing, so able to hear snores , plumbing and other noises from nearby rooms. Breakfast very limited scope. Fresh fruit was far from fresh, but then it is at the end of the world. The only place I have stayed... More

Spent two days in Ushuaia--the end of the earth--and this hotel was just wonderful. Nice breakfast, close to main street, clean nd spacious rooms, and very responsive and knowledgable desk. No Complaints at all.

Firstly it's important to mention that I was here on business, so can only comment on the facilities and standard of room rather than the value. Our room was smart, clean and had a great bathroom. The breakfasts are in the top floor of the hotel with great views and we enjoyed our couple of days here before heading off... More

The name says it all. What does it mean? It's a medium-sized newish- built basic unexciting transit hotel, built, I suspect, to accommodate departing/arriving Antarctic cruise passengers. Ushuaia is a "frontier" town and this is the hotel to match.

Hi, From the time I arrived at the hotel after being taken there by a driver, I enjoyed it immensely. I loved the room, the breakfast and the close proximity to the town, albeit a lovely little hill. The staff were friendly and courteous, also very helpful and I would stay there again. I didn't see too many people until... More

Very close to town, almost half way in relation to San Martin avenue. Walking distance to the harbour and museums. A bit noisy due to paper thin walls. Not friendly at all, nobody says hello. It felt like being on a business. The room was similar to a travel lodge hotel. The carpet was a bit grotty but the sheets... More

The hotel is located in the middle of a steep hill. It's at a good location though. A couple of blocks down the hill is where the main street is and that's where all the shops and restaurants are located. We arrived there early in the morning so we weren't able to check in right away, but the lobby area... More

“We had a 4th floor room at the front which we found noisy so it may be rooms at the rear wud be better.”

“There must be other hotels in the area for similar price with better quality. Our reservation confirmation from the agent showed the hotel above average however the reception on checkin advised it to be 3 star. For the cost and valu too expensive although clean and tidy”

“I was on a level that I could see the Beagle Channel - I don't know how many rooms could look over the channel, apart from the breakfast room. My room was definitely quiet and peaceful. I would recommend this hotel.”

“Third floor rooms at the back have better views.”
of 5 bubbles Pokyyy, 7 Nov 2014 | Read review
“Although the views from the top fourth floor are good, rooms on level three may be better as the fourth floor rooms are 'roof attic' type rooms close to the outside weather and thus may be quite stuffy or cold.”
