This is a popular hotel, so if you want to have a room facing the Beagle Channel, it is imperative to reserve it in advance.
There are magnificent views from all levels of the hotel, in all directions, but waking up in the morning to the sun rising over the Beagle Channel, as seen through your large picture window, is very special.
I was on the third floor and so, had a vaulted wooden ceiling.
The room features a bed with a comfortable mattress and quality linens, an upholstered chair, a desk, a closet with storage space and a safe.
There is a nice soaking bathtub, a toilet and bidet and a vanity with limited counter space.
Bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion are provided, as well as bathrobes and slippers.
There is a lot of warm, wood throughout the hotel, both inside and outside, on the decks.
Although there is an elevator, it is quite nice to take the open stairs.
The hotel itself is in a very safe, gated community.
I walked throughout the neighborhood and found the houses fascinating.
No two were alike. Several were constructed of corrugated steel, because this is an earthquake prone zone.
There is a small beach adjacent to the hotel, strewn with pebbles and shells.
A bench on the beach allows one to sit and contemplate the Beagle Channel.
This is Ushuaia, so be aware that it can be very, very windy, rainy and cold; it was all three when I was there in mid January, though the sun did peek out during the afternoon.
The decks can get very slippery when wet.
But, there is a wonderful sun room to relax in.
I was with a tour group and we had our own private dining area, so I cannot report on the hotel food.
The staff was absolutely wonderful.
If you are going to be spending time in Ushuaia, this is the only hotel to consider.

After reading all sorts of reviews about hotels in town we chose this hotel (a short drive away from town) and we’re glad we did. It is a beautiful place to spend time, even when you’re just sitting around waiting to leave on a cruise. We were picked up at the airport and the enthusiastic driver stopped to show us the views, take pictures and tell us about the area. The staff was really accommodating and helpful with special requests, reservations, etc. There is no issue with staying here for hours after checkout while you wait to leave on a cruise. We needed quite a bit of laundry done and were so thrilled the prices were so reasonable and they were fast with getting it done. We did not have a view room, but what I could see they looked really nice. We were lucky to get a super deal on a Mountain View room, so we can’t complain. It was a good sized room, with a comfy bed, mini fridge, etc. There is no AC here since it is normally cold. We ate dinner and lunch here twice and were impressed with the food and we always got a great window table. You can’t beat the views.. We weren’t able to get an appointment with the spa for massages due to our tour schedule, but the prices were reasonable. We did use the outdoor jacuzzi, and there is also a pool and a gym. Originally we were leaning toward staying in town, but I’m glad we chose this little oasis. They had a free shuttle into town and cabs are cheap, so the little distance wasn’t an issue. We really appreciated the friendly staff too. They made this experience extra special. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay at Los Cauquenes which has a superb location on the edge of the Beagle Channel. About 15 minutes from downtown via the hotel's free shuttle service, makes getting around easy. If venturing elsewhere, or outside shuttle scheduled times, taxis are inexpensive to most city attractions. The resort also offers several 'experiences', at extra charge, that are well planned and guided. Staff in all areas are most pleasant and friendly, providing excellent service. Has ok food and beverage selection. Views from water side rooms, the lobby and restaurant/cafe/bar areas are stunning on clear days. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. Free wifi excellent throughout.

If you are staying a few days in Ushuaia, before or after a cruise to Antarctica or a hiking trip in Patagonia, this is a wonderful treat to yourself. The hotel is located outside of town, on the shore of the Beagle Channel (but offers regular shuttles to and from "downtown"); the view (from our room, the bar and the spa) over the Channel and the mountains in the background is stunning; the rooms are comfortable, without unnecessary ostentatious luxury; the restaurant, highly rated, is a tad onerous but the bar menu is more affordable and offers enough variety for a short stay.
Email exchanges with the hotel prior to our stay were swift and efficient and, on-site, the personnel were very helpful to organize our local activities.

On 20 February 2020 my partner and I travelled to Ushuaia with family to get married. We celebrated in the winter garden room at Los Cauquenes with dinner, drinks and dancing.

It is a truly beautiful room and setting. Cristian was so incredibly helpful and approachable throughout the organisation, the food was absolutely incredible (all vegan with some of our usually meat eating family commenting on how it was some of the best food they've had!) With the waiters on hand to help with anything we needed.

Everything was just completely flawless and we couldn't have asked for more.

Thank you so much for making our day so special.

What an amazing setting and experience. We arrived by car having driven 9hrs from Punta Arenas just after 10pm on our first night and the staff gave us a warm welcome. We stayed in the senior suite for 3 nights. What a lovely suite with a spacious terrace overlooking the snowcapped mountains and the Beagle channel. Wow. Breakfast was included in our rate (a spectacular buffet) and we also booked a day excursion offered by them for a boat cruise for a day visiting the seal island, lighthouse etc. The hosts were so warm and friendly, and really made us feel at home (especially also seeing we don't really understand Spanish), they really made an effort in translating. Thank you so much! We had such a fantastic time and really soaked up the professional service and amenities.

Nice hôtel, not pretentious with a good restaurant.
The position looking over the beagle channel is beautiful, just outside Ushuaia. They provide a bus shuttle to the centre of the city, unfortunately not every hour, but a taxi is easy and not too expensive.
Lovely swimming pool overlooking the channel but need a good cleaning (hair and tiles missing).
Careful, they seem to be pretty strict about checking out at 10h00.
Good restaurant with average breakfast.

Highly recommend this hotel. They make it so easy to be a guest, starting with picking you up at the airport, greeting you with welcome drinks at check in, and offering a wide variety of excursions and activities that can be booked directly through the hotel. The lobby is beautiful, the views right on the water are stunning, and the location is a great distance from town while also feeling distant enough to be peaceful. Cannot say enough great things!

Given the online photos of a beautiful, remote resort on the Beagle channel we were surprised to find that it is part of a residential community, surrounded by houses.

The facility is rustic, but nice, with great views .
and the staff is very friendly.

But at $750/night for a small suite we expected better amenities and service.

The room temperature is controlled by an old style radiator with a manual control valve. Unfortunately this could never moderate the temperature other than excessively hot so you have to open windows and a door, which after a time makes the room very cold requiring closing the window periodically. Rarely was it comfortable.

There are some snacks in a refrigerator, but no prices. We checked and there is a fee but how much? And in our 4 day stay the supply was never restocked. Want ice? Call the restaurant, but one time it took two hours to get what we asked for.

The spa is small and functional but the hot tub is a round two person unit which was not clean and was cold when we tried it. The Masseuse was top notch and the massage fee is very low so that was a good experience.

It is located on a dirt road about 3 miles from town and cars create a cloud of dust so walking isn't an option.

This hotel is placed in the best part of Ushuaia, just in front of Beagle's channel inside a private and supervised neighborhood. There is a wonderful view from the rooms in front of the channel. Superb breakfast and very good restaurant inside the hotel. Staff very friendly and professional. Good Spa with a little swimming pool. The rooms would have just a little more maintenance because the furniture is in wood and it ruins early.
