This is a classic hotel from the 70's. The location is absolutely superb at the top of the Paipa lake with a great view from all the rooms. Although the rooms have been refurbished I find that the mattresses are a bit hard to my taste and they have no tops. The hot spring pool is definitively the best in... More

There are only 10 countries in the world that have thermal waters. Colombia is one of them and if you want to enjoy them in stile in one of the most beautiful areas of Colombia this is the hotel. It has amazing view, lovely rooms with some including private pool, service and kindness is over the top.

This hotel its a classic hotel from the 70's. Rooms have been partially refurbished and put up to date but I personnally find the matresses to be a bit hard. The food is quite good, every room has a terrace and the hot spring pool is the best in town. The location is perfect with a beautiful view from every... More

La mejor vacaciones que me tomado y siento que este hotel nunca olvidaré.This place is simply magical the people are great and everything doesn't seem to matter as much after relaxing in salt warm water from the underground salt waters that naturally form in this area. We loved this place

This is a big hotel right on the eastern shores of Lake Sochagota. Apart from the gorgeous lake there are hills, plenty of nice places to walk to and it isn't that far from the town centre. It is however not a cheap hotel. You can choose to stay in a cabaña (bungalow) or in a standard bedroom. The cabañas... More

This hotel has great potential. The setting is beautiful. The design and architecture evoke the charm of the region. But everything goes downhill from there: - Unfair price-quality relationship: We paid about $350/night for a two bedroom bungalow. What did we get in return? Sloppy finishings in the bathroom; a bug in the shower; a dirty shower curtain; crappy towels;... More

We had wanted to stay in Hacienda del Salitre, but the management there moved us to the Hotel Sochagota - which was a very different sort of experience. It reminded me a bit of a sort of Soviet era hotel with its large thermal swimming pool, long corridors and impersonal dining room. We were told that Hacienda del Salitre was... More
