we spent two nights there what was really good fun. on the first day we did the biking tour to the water falls which is really worth it. you see some nice nature and have a shuttle back up for 3$ and went a bit clubbing in the evening. the hostel is very chill with nice staff and the beds are very comfortable. you also have warm water in the shower and you can do your laundry for 5$.

I stayed there for a week while I was exploring Baños de Agua Santa. Everything was kept clean and working (though I was my room had a towel hook in the bathroom). They have a cozy social room with pool table, small tables, a bar, tasty cafe for a variety of food options and a couple couches to watch movies on; plus a outdoor fire pit, hammocks, bicycles to rent, and plenty of green space for outdoor yoga types. All the staff were friendly and helpful but Sebastian a bilingual California dude knows Baños like the back of his hand. He offered plenty of useful info, helped me book things, and was down to have some drinks and plays with the crew, even had a fun group karaoke night :)! He just really helped break up the friend cliques and get everyone to socialize and have fun. Which for me is a big part of staying in hostels. Wish I could remember the rest of the staffs names for shout outs. Salud! Great Hostel

The hostel is great, the rooms are nice and clean and the employers are kind and talkative. The vibe is great, it is a party hostel so it is a great place to meet new people and to have a good time. We really enjoyed our stay but you have to bear in mind that it is a party hostel so there will be some noice but that is a part of the charm for me.

I love Ecuador and in 6 trips I've done in Ecuador I've never received such a terrible customer service. The staff was firstly rude over the phone when we tried to book it. Then upon our arrival late at night, the staff made a mistake with our booking and denied to accept their responsibility about it. If you ask me, the guys was high as a kite. After calling out it's poor behaviour, the staff wanted to kick us out in the middle of the night after we already paid!! It was absolutely outrageous!

I really don't like to complain unless it's to deter people from staying in a bad hostel. This hostel is nice- not too expensive, nice rooms, big lounge area with games (although it's very dark and gloomy). Unfortunately the rudeness of the staff ruins everything. You won't want to spend much time there because they make the atmosphere so bad. Everything is an inconvenience to them, and they always find a rude way to answer a question. It's quite astonishing. They shouldn't work in hospitality if they don't want to be welcoming to people. We left early because they upset us so much. Don't stay here.

Yesterday I came to this hostel and waited 20 minutes at the reception for my turn. When i was finally granted the honour, i made a reservation for two people for the following night. Today, i came to the hostel in the evening, informed them of my reservation and was eagerly awaiting my hot shower. to my disappointment, i was told the owner decided to cancel all reservations because he accidentally double booked. the reservation was on the computer, yet not honoured. "you should have checked in at 3pm" i was lectured. when i asked to speak to the owner, i was refused for he was asleep (8pm). i ended up roaming miserably around town with a 20kg backpack accompanied by rats and criminals in search of another place.

Really great hostel, nice clean rooms and a good sized social area. Also they offer a free dinner on Monday, Tues and Weds, which is nice. Only issue was some of the staff were pretty rude. We had quite a few problems on check-in as we had reserved three nights but only wanted to stay for 2 and they made a big deal out of this and tried to charge us the three nights. I don't think their customer service is really up to date with the rest of the world.

Really nice hostel in one of the most beautiful town's in Ecuador. The dorms are very clean and quiet with private bathrooms, hot water, and wifi. Most staff are very friendly (the exceptions are quite rude). Cozy common area to chill out in after a day full of activities weather it's watching a movie or socializing with other travellers at the bar. Breakfast is simple but good.

I was for a week in Los pinos backpacker.
The atmosphere was very good. The people were friendly and helpful.
The rooms were large with warm water. everything was very clean.
you could cook yourself. It also had a TV with lots of movies. The internet connection was very good and fast.
The hotel has a large garden where you can see it on waterfalls.
the situation is very calmly. yet it is fast in the center of banos.
josefina speaks good English. martin makes good happy hour. there are really nice people.
I recommend it to anyone.

Hostel is amazing - one of my favourites whilst traveling across Ecuador. Amazing view from back dorms and social area is top class. Breakfast and dinner (which is free Monday - Wednesday) was good and filling plus the hostel compound is very beautiful and secure. We asked staff the best way to get to Guayaquil and were told best to go in morning. On leaving that morning my silly friend left her iPhone in reception as we were in a hurry and were later told they “checked cctv” but was not found... After using find my iPhone it was clearly there and after calling and emailing customer service we are no further! Shame as it ruined our time at the hostel for us. Would have been 5* otherwise!
