We stayed for 3 nights in Banos. Our kids stayed in main building in ok room and we had the pleasure to stay in one of the cabins uphill with great views on Banos. The cabins though are a bit outdated and noisy especially because the cabins are with three next to each other and the walls are from wood.... More

I stayed at this hotel for two nights while traveling as a Spanish language educational group with 25 students and 4 other chaperones. The grounds are beautiful with lots of lime and avocado trees and a beautiful view of Baños. Some of the rooms are located in modern hotel-style buildings with three levels of two rooms per building. The other... More

The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed the hummingbirds zipping back and forth from flower to flower. It was rainy and damp inside and out. The room was clean and comfortable for the most part but when you take a shower it's hard to get rid of the excessive humidity. We slept very well which says something about the excursions... More

We have been at Monteselva sevaral times. As a couple and with our kids. We ve been mostly at Cabins which we beleive are best deal. Cabins are spacious with 2 queen beds or full. Plenty of room. Lots of hot water. The views from cabins are good and the place the Hosteria is located is great as it is... More

We visit Hotel Monte Selva during the Carnival Holiday. The place is ok relative to their price, but the food is expensive and poor quality. You can stay with them, but I will hardly encourage anyone to buy their "menu" specials. Pros -Price -Location Cons -Swimming pools are small -Food

We were told this was the best place to stay in Banos. We booked the Matrimonial Suite and based on the website, we were looking forward to the stay. The weather never cooperated so we did not get to see the volcano, (not Monte Selva's fault) and had to content ourselves with the supposed "world class spa". They did not... More

We stayed 2 nights there unfortunately we booked the Suit, the thing that I find awful is the bathroom ....there us no wall between the room and the toilet. If you pay for a Suite do not expect a great room, it will be better to book a regular room and maybe that will be the money worth. If you... More

We chose this out of a guide book it is at the base of the mountain and easy to walk all over town so that was great. The price was good as well with free breakfast. They say a lot about the pool and spa but it is not some where I would want to swim to be honest. You... More

We stayed for 2 nights in October and had a wonderful time. The hotel is at the end of dead-end street and partially built into the slope of the hill with the Vulcano Tungurahua in the back. October is a month of festivities - i.e. fireworks and street music, but the nights we were there all stopped by 10pm. The... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Mont Selva in August 2014 and felt the room was not worth the money we paid which was $82.00 for a double cabin (room # 202). The room smelled moldy and musty, the walls were painted brick- very unwelcoming- and worst of all, there was no wifi as stated. The jacuzzi spa didn't... More
