This place was recommended and we booked with some hesitation as it looked so basic, the 'gold card' holder section of the party weren't sure about mattresses on the floor with aging bones! We stayed two nights and just loved it. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, the family could not do enough to make our stay comfortable....

Tanu Beach fales are beautifully kept, the sand around the fales is raked each day, there is no rubbish and the toilets are very clean. The meals are substantial, i never got sick of them and i stayed for 8 nights. Good snorkling and the fales are lovely and cool to sleep in. So much better than an inclosed room...

We had a beachfront fale which was great. We loved the fact that the walls were of palm fronds and not blue tarp/plastic like some places we stayed. This allowed for ventilation as well as privacy. The small convenience store onsite was a bonus, especially the beer fridge with it's reasonably priced contents. The store is operated on an honestly...

stayed at Tanu Beach Fales on the last night I wasin Savaii. this was a perfect choice - great location, friendly staff, good food, great and clean showers and toilet facilities and great beach. the resort also has a convenience shop that charge very reasonable prices. a trip to samoa would not be complete without staying in a beach fale....

This is a true Samoan experience - everyone must sleep at least one night in a fale while they are here! When we first arrived, we were a little early before check-in, but they already had our fale ready ahead of schedule. One of the women gave us a fresh coconut to drink from and we immediately headed to the...

The Fales are really spacious and have excellent views of the Ocean,Breakfast and Tea are included in the price of your stay and there...

We stayed for three nights in a traditional fales right by the beach. Nice big fale with sand brush (made from Coonut) to brush the same off your feet. Everything was great. Food was quite normal food we might get at home, Deep fried chicken etc, local food would have been nice. Showers were cold although that was very good...

I stayed in the traditional fales which were awesome and well maintained which was good as I was there in November (wet season). The meals were very filling and usually Samoan style food. I was lucky enough to be there when it was fairly full with school groups so the family put on a fia fia night, it wasn't as...

I went to Tanu Beach Fales when I was travelling around the world on my own. Samoa was very refreshing compared to the onslaught of gap yearers and youngesters that dominate some of Fiji's areas. Tanu Fales are run by a lovely Mormon family (I can recommend the Sunday service for anyone interested, the family are very welcoming of guests...

A beautiful beach, good food, very friendly service, wonderful people, great views, not a lot more to be said really. We loved the way this operation was run. The shop on site sells basics (including beer) at good prices, and you simply write in the book what you have taken and settle up at the end. There is an ATM...
