We spent the weekend in one of the rustic cabins. The cabin was very comfortable and accommodated 6 adults well. The cabin was clean and a short drive from Phoenix. You can be up in the pines in less than 2 hours. The people are very friendly and helpful. We loved it so much that we have booked 2 more...

I'm not a tent and sleeping bag kind of guy and this was perfect! I stayed in the Pony Express motel area, a rustic room with a very nice bed with a loft with more sleeping accommodations. The area is thick with pine trees, oak trees and squirrels, which are so entertaining to watch. Good mountain biking trails close by...

Hi Joe. Thank you for choosing Christopher Creek Lodge for your outdoor getaway without the camping! It certainly is nice to still get to experience the forest, wildlife and outdoor activities while still having a real bed and a shower, isn't it? We appreciate you mentioning our great location and great cell reception! We are glad that you were able...

I love this place. It is right in the woods just an hour and half drive from Phoenix. I stayed in a cabin right on the creek and my kids had so much fun looking for fish and playing in the creek. Also love that it is only a 15 minute drive to Woods Canyon Lake which is a awesome...

Rustic cabin that offers a great getaway from the city! Although we love traveling north to Sedona, the Payson area is closer with less traffic and Christopher Creek offers so much for the family to do. We visited with a family member that had kids so we hiked, fished, and visited the Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery, where we picniced at...

Thank you for choosing to bring your family to Christopher Creek Lodge! We are certainly a great, closer alternative to Sedona, if you're visiting from the Phoenix area with beautiful hiking and plenty of fishing! The fish hatchery is a great place for fishing and picnicking, as well. We are always grateful to know that our guests enjoyed their stay,...

Front desk person wasn't great. Not an ideal way to start the vacation. But it happens, what made me give the rating of a 2 instead of a 3 is the condition of the cabin. 'Rustic' DOESNT describe it--it was dark and smelled bad. It felt dirty and dusty-the broken window and extremely worn/stained carpet added to this. It's a...

Thank you for your candid review. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay and will not be returning. Most of our guests do find our cabins to be quite cozy and comfortable. Also, though they were built in the 1950s and are rustic, we do put every effort into cleaning and maintenance of our cabins,...

We stayed in Canin 4 on the creek. The view is beautiful, but the cabin is in rough shape. The bathroom shower head leaked and left the bathroom floor damp and the inside of the shower moldy. The kitchen did not have basic pots and pans, no bowls for cereal or making dinner, itty bitty coffee cups, no glassware. The...

The man at the desk should not be the greeting committee. That being said, I loved my stay. We stayed in a tandem bunk & it was clean (although there was a huge stain on the carpet) & cozy. I enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to nature, feeding the squirrels.
