We stayed here because it was in walking distance from the Talking Stick Resort Arena (.8 of a mile). Easier to walk then have to worry about driving downtown and parking. It was also very reasonable ($75). Hotel was very clean (one of the cleanest I've stayed at), friendly staff. Breakfast wasn't much, but we hit the McDonald's down the...

This is the place for clean, safe, lowest price, great service in its part of downtown Phoenix. Liked the well lighted street and parking. This newly remodeled Choice motor-inn felt more like an upscale brand than I had thought of Rodeway previously, nice... now I'll consider more of same. And yes, would return here. Congrats to Mark, Manager!

This is one of the cheapest hotels I have stayed. The bathroom is extremely small. The air conditioner is noisy. The parking lot is small. The location is okay, it is close to the convention center. If you are the cheap guy that counts every cent, this is your place. The breakfast is okay, the fridge worked fine, the bed...

Stayed for six nights, room near the front on Van Buren was noisy (Saturday night) but we moved to a room further away and had no problems. Room was clean. The couple who run it were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Convention Center with some good restaurants...

I will admit there were a few reviews that made me question the area and safety being a single woman in a town I don't know. Great staff. Got a corner room and loved it! Included a tv, microwave, a small fridge, walk in closet with iron and board, desk and dresser. I did not witness anything bad in the...

Stayed here for one night and my experience was as expected from reading other reviews. It's a fine place to spend a night, you get what you pay for, but wouldn't want to have an extended stay here. It's not in the safest area of town, but it's certainly in one of the most convenient locations downtown--close to venues, bars,...

I wouldn't have wanted an extended stay here (not exactly the nicest part of town), but the hotel was perfectly adequate. Our balcony had the view of the back of another building - kind of hard to avoid due to location. The owner was very friendly during check-in. Our room was ready when we got there, and we had a...

I am a Diamond member of Choice Privileges. I have stayed 75 nights in hotels in the past 6 months. Most of us inside the Choice network know that the Rodeway is the lowest end of the family (and cheapest). I have to tell you that this specific Rodeway is far better than even some of the Comfort Suites I...

Stayed here for 2 nights and could not have asked for better service. Doesn't look the best from outside but was pleasantly surprised by the hotels cleanliness and service. Rooms were spotless. Stayed at this hotel for a concert, would definitely stay here again. It's not much but it's clean and convenient to downtown. We never felt unsafe in the area while walking around at night or during the day time.
