Wonderful atmosphere, very helpful staff (especially Ann and Terri), excellent room aesthetics and use (great storage, really comfy bed and pillows, excellent shower, quietness, privacy, balcony). And, of course, getting our dog fix and meeting new friends around the campfire was really special. Also walking distance to a variety of good restaurants and boutique shopping. Definitely consider/also book it!

I can't say enough positive things about this delightful inn. Such attention to detail in every respect! Conveniently located right in Tlaquepaque Village, we could walk to shops and restaurants if we wanted, but it was also a good jumping off location for day trips. Steve, the owner, was very helpful regarding a route to the Grand Canyon as well...

This place is more than I expected! Room is unique. Anna at he front desk is friendly and helpful. She makes you feel like you've been friends for a long time. She makes reservations, and makes you feel at home. I will be coming back!

This hotel was everything I expected and more. The service was wonderful and made us feel right at home. The room was beautiful and the courtyards were blooming with flowers and just breathtaking. The chocolate chip cookies in the room were a lovely touch. There was red wine to enjoy while sitting around the warm fire pit. Blankets were available...

My wife and I stayed at El Portal for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Since our dog Fancy is part of our family, we wanted a place that she would be welcome and comfortable. This is the place! The room was very nice and all the staff we encountered were wonderful. One word of caution, El Portal bills itself...

Place was nice and the staff pleasent. Staff walked us through our room showed us the steam shower and pointed out how easy it was to use. We went to dinner and on our way back I hurt my knee walking up the poorly lit driveway and was looking forward to using it. When we were back in the room...

Thank you for staying with us. We apologize for the shower not working properly. We are having that looked at. (We understand this doesn't correct the problem for you). We know people love the bigger TVs, but we feel that they can overwhelm the rooms, and take away from their uniqueness. We do appreciate your comments.

My husband and I spent our first two nights in AZ at the El Portal Sedona. Couldn't have dreamed up a better place. Felt like we were staying with unpretentiously wealthy family friends! The rooms are exceptionally well appointed and cozy, owner on premise and very helpful, courtyard is inviting and beautiful!

We stayed at El Portal for 4 nights with our family of 4. Ann greeted us warmly upon our arrival, showed us the lovely spread of snacks (which my kids devoured after our long hike at the Grand Canyon earlier that day) and brought us up to our beautiful, large room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. We had all...

It's a word used a lot, but rustic describes this comfortable gem the best. Often that description comes coupled with stories of things broken, old or unkempt. But in this case, it is accompanied by all the comforts, luxuries and conveniences you could think of. The owners have collected so many fascinating antiques and the rooms are filled with lamps,...

Absolutely breathtaking rooms and even better service! By the time we left we knew everybody and their dogs names. They provide every amenity to provide you and you're dogs with the comforts of home. I couldn't think of a single negative thing to say about this place. Wanting to go back next month because it was that amazing! Sara Romero
