Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here for almost a month, February-March 2019. This has a good centralized location and the rates are pretty reasonable, but the maintenance is very poor. While I was there 1 of the 3 ice machines was always broken, as was 1 of the 2 dryers in the laundry center. The dishwasher in the first room I was in had obviously been broken for a long time, so I moved to another. The power in this room went off twice, and the shower rod was almost falling out of the wall. The last few days, the central security door didn’t open, so when you left your car you could only enter the building at the end of the building. So, for a short stay, this hotel is probably ok. For an “extended stay” which this place is designed for, check your expectations at the door.

The room was nice, comfortable beds and pillows, small stove and sink, dishwasher, set of 2 for everyone, large refrigerator, big bathroom. There was a gym downstairs to use. In the morning there were muffins and other goodies and coffee with different creamers. We were going to tombstone and bisbee and we really enjoyed the stay. We would definately go back again.

We honestly thought from the good reviews it would be decent. But no. When we arrived they didnt have the room we booked. So they put us in a single queen room and it was nasty. It was like the oh crap last minute room. Smelled horrible, shower was not usable. Furniture was all chewed up. TV is way old school. Couldn't even get the cable to work. We were supposed to stay longer but there was no way, we backed out and got an apartment instead.

Sierra Vista Extended Stay is the biggest flea bag hotel in Cochise county. The 4 star rating they brag about was from over 5 years ago when they were the Suburban Inn. They lost that franchise because they’re not good at hotel stuff i.e., cleanliness, customer service, etc. Clarion Hotels sued to stop them using the franchise name, that’s when they changed to Sierra Vista Extended Stay. I stayed there once a few years ago, it nowhere as bad as it is now. I unfortunately stayed there in March 2019 and was surprised at how far it had sunk. I stayed three nights, they charged me for four. I’ve called six times and each time I talk to a very polite young lady who assures me the owner will get back to me. I still can’t get the owner on the phone or a refund for $52. The lobby is dark and looks abandoned, the hallway walls, doors and carpet are filthy. The rooms are old, dated, run down, and dreary. My room was serviced two of the three nights and the air conditioner made a noise and blew air but the room still wasn’t cool. And although I didn’t see any bed bugs this is the type of place, you’d find them. They brought grandpa from India and he works the weekend and has NO understanding of English at all, that’s a whole other review. The have crappy coffee and stale donuts in the lobby and little signs saying they got an award from some organization 5 or 6 years ago. Do yourself a BIG favor and pass this place by.

Owners live on site, are very friendly, gave me a nice quiet corner room with two windows that i desperately need for chemically sensitive reasons. It hadn't been used for 10 days or so, which was great for me, since there were no cleaning smells. Yes, one might say it was a total dive, but the bed was fine, had a minimalist kitchen, and i always travel with my own sheets and pillows, and toss the bleached sheets in a closet where i don't smell them. For me this was really perfect, and smells of Indian food filled the hallways, a plus!

The room itself was decent enough. Nothing special, definitely low end. But the front desk support was hideous. I work nights so I requested an early check in. No problem, I was told. When I arrived they told me that an early check in would be an additional $45. That was NEVER mentioned anywhere in the reservation. Needless to say I won't be staying there again.

My wife and I stayed there over the weekend. The price was very good but the shower had a temperature regulator on it, that limited hot showers. Additionally, the bathroom sink bottom was peeling off and the sheets were stained.

You definitely get your money’s worth. Husband and I stayed here for after a party and were greeted with rat droppings on the pull out couch, nightstand and tv. When we went to talk to the front desk, she said the maid wasn’t available but would be tomorrow. We weren’t offered anything else due to the fact we had brought our dog. My dog proceeded to go to the bathroom on the floor, which only happens if another dog had peed there first. Very uncomfortable and dirty. We will not be coming back.
