Back for the 4th time in Hayloft. Long journey down only to know there's a cream tea waiting in the fridge Someone rated it poor becasue of the self locking fridge/freezer doors that ensure the inside temperature goes back after you've used it. Okay very panicicky the first time it happens but not really an issue!. Place immaculate, bed is large and comfy. Bathroom clean and good old-fashioned thick towels. This is a working farm so cattle moo and tractors on the move. To us that is part of the atmosphere because besides that you can sit in total peace and quiet. Have brought back part of that in the amazing beef pack and whilst enjoying good Cornish beef can plan for next year here. Again thanks Judith for providing the ideal holiday accommodation.

Great week away, perfect location for North or south trips. The wife and myself including our three dogs had a lovely time just wish we had a few more days. I'm a novice fisherman but had my own lake for a week 'the pond' and caught over a hundred fish during the stay and a good few were near the 4lb weight. Would highly recommend and will be back next year.

We booked out the whole place exclusively (all 5 cottages) for my 30th birthday celebrations. Originally planned for 2020 but moved due to COVID restrictions. Judith was very accommodating at moving our booking and continued to be great with communication throughout the build up to our booking and during our stay. Our group consisted of 12 adults and 10 children. We had THE best time. The whole place is stunning, the photos really don’t do it justice! Every single accommodation was beautiful, clean and comfortable and all of them had their own unique style and decor inside. The harvest barn is perfect for a big group, the huge kitchen ensures that you have all you need and the double fridge freezer was so handy to fit all our food in, not to mention the big double oven to cook it. During our stay the big garden was such a highlight, we were able to use it to play rounders and we also arranged a bouncy castle from a local company to come on the Saturday which was agreed by Judith. This place is very child friendly, our children loved the outdoor space. I have absolutely no complaints and would 100% recommend these cottages, wether you are looking for a cozy couple getaway or a big family gathering it fits all the moulds! Thank you to Hele Barton for making my 30th birthday celebrations truly special. I hope we can return one day!

Another excellent stay, this time we were back in Cyder Barn, 4 adults, one child & a GSD. Judith welcomed us and it was lovely to be back, we’d had to postpone this week twice owing to lockdowns. The cream tea was just what we needed! Even better, this time we could order Proper Beef direct from the farmer. We had sirloin & burgers one evening and have come home with a large pack of mince, some fillet steak and a huge Tomahawk which I can’t wait to try! We hope to book our next holiday soon. Thanks for everything Judith & all the Chapman family xx

We originally booked this stay for 2020 but with the pandemic we couldn’t come, Helebarton was great in moving our holiday to 2021. The harvest barn was fantastic for our family of 8, the open plan kitchen/ living area was great for socialising and each bedroom was large and had a good size bathroom. The boys also really enjoyed the fishing lakes The location is also great, just a short drive to Bude. The only one complaint we had was with the bed frame in the room with the patio doors is quite squeaky. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return.

We had the most fantastic holiday in Hele Barton over the May half term. We were blessed with wonderful weather which was an added bonus but even without that the accommodation is fantastic. We stayed in the Harvest Barn - there was 9 of us with 2 dogs and there was so much space. The facilities were excellent - HUGE well equipped kitchen with all the appliances you need. The living space was beautiful and kept the character of the barn There are 4 very good sized bedrooms each with access to either an en suite or bathroom. The outdoor space was amazing. We enjoyed a few lovely bbqs in the gardens. The owners are lovely and welcomed us to look round the farm and meet Whizzy the pony. We saw new born calves and also enjoyed fishing at the on-site lakes. Bude is only a 15 minute drive and the nearest beach (Black Rock) is 10 minutes. Truly a magical place and we can’t wait to return.

We have just come home from a week long stay in The Hayloft. Everything was excellent, including the welcome cream tea that was there on our arrival. Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting. Peaceful with stunning views, but only a short distance to the beaches and town of Bude. We loved it and so did Dexter our golden retriever We will definitely return in the future.

Our favourite place to stay near Bude. This time we stayed in Cyder Barn. As usual we were welcomed by cream tea, milk, butter and goodies for the dog. Lots of kitchen supplies too. The barn was very clean with wonderful views from the large garden. Husband enjoyed fishing and I loved walks along the coast path and farm. We will be back again soon. Took home some beefburgers and a roasting joint you can now buy from the farm. Thanks Judith. See you soon

From the moment of booking everything was made comfortable easy and chilled ...... We came here as a family and arrived early evening, as soon as we entered the barn we knew we had made the right choice in accommodation. Spacious, clean, modern and everything you could need had been thought about. We had small children with us and requested the necessary high chair and child gate, Judith the manager ensured this was ready and waiting along with goody bags for the dogs ( a lovely touch ). We visited Padstow, Newquay, Polzeath Crantock to name a few and all were within an hours drive. There are nice walks around the farm as well as Crackington Haven and Widemouth beaches within a 10 min drive We can’t wait to return for another idyllic ,kick back relax and recharge the batteries holiday

This is our third stay at Hele Barton, we usually stay at Hayloft which we love, this time we stayed in Harvest Barn. Lots of room for all the family and dogs (who especially liked the under floor heating), all en-suite which is such a bonus. Very comfortable. What else can be said, lovely accommodation, lovely location and a lovely time had by all. Will we book again? Yes, unless we've moved to Bude 😊
