Yep its a 3.5 star , maybe a 4. however we like it and first stayed here in 1995 when it was a Wyndam! Back again in 2014 for 1 night only, after landing in Phoenix on our way to the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain Tucson. (We pay to offset our emissions!) This time we stayed 5 nts. Yes, we...

The room was nice, not super fancy, but nice. The staff was very friendly. We were there for business, but plan to try to come back with our kids sometime in the future! Next time, I want to try the heated pool and the spa! Absolutely loved the staff at the Market Cafe where we ate each day for breakfast....

I was here for a few days in February for a conference. The resort is pretty isolated - and not an easy walk to really anywhere. If you don't have a car, you're stuck eating on site, though they will drive you to near-by restaurants in the resort's van (and that was really nice!). The food on site is pretty...

Return visit. Love this place built into a mountain. Huge connecting pools, water slide, four hot tubs cleverly secluded in boulders. Tennis, sand volleyball, restaurants, etc. spacious rooms and gracious service. Many amenities. Close to airport, but quiet. You will not be disappointed!

Will admit, I was a bit disappointed with my stay here. We had to guess where our room was as bell staff (as directed by the Front Desk) was unavailable for directions. We found our room easily enough, though. My room seemed a bit on the dark side, but perhaps if the sun was out, the reflection off the butte...

My favorite place to stay in the Phoenix area is Marriott Tempe at The Buttes. I just love to relax by the pool and gaze at the city view. What I love about the hotel is that is look like it is carved into the side of the mountain. They took such care of maintain the beauty of the setting...

This hotel is in a beautiful location on the side of the Buttes, with a fantastic swimming pool and grounds. The rooms are average for this level of hotel, well kept and clean but nothing outstanding. I wish they offered robes in the rooms. What sets this hotel apart is the level of service. Every member of the staff, especially...

I was at this hotel for a conference. It is beautifully build into the side of a hill with the rocks all around. The rooms are musky and smell. The pool is beautiful and nice deck area. The restaurant and bar and room service is ridiculously expensive. Target is 15 minutes away. Starbucks is a 3 minute drive away. The...

The Marriott Buttes has fantastic views from the walkway to the rooms and from the lobby and pool areas. As a Platinum for Life person, I have never had a room with a view of anything other than a wall, even at $400 a night, but I am sure there are great views from some rooms too. The location just...

When looking for a place to stay my main concern was staying at a resort with a great pool area and this place was perfect for that...during the week. Gets super packed with locals on the weekend and you fight for a spot by the pool. Room was fine, drinks were normal resort price by the pool, and the restaurant...
