I have been staying at the Flats several times a year for over 10 years. I have tried the other hotels and they are nice but nothing compares to being in a room just 200' from the pounding surf and the cool ocean breezes off the Pacific. Accommodations are basic but a room is very reasonable. Beds are firm so...

Didn't actually get a room here and probably wouldn't recommend anything without airconditioning in high season. Did spend most of my bar and restaraunt time here, food was great, service was excellent, bartenders and waitress very friendly, view of the beach through the trees. Just a killer vibe, in the center of everything (not that there is that much in...

This place was pretty good for lunch, but part of my family stayed here in the rooms and they were kind of nasty. Things were falling apart, the beds were just gross as we're the bathrooms. When we went there was a ditch right by the rooms which served as the perfect breeding grounds for billions of Mosquitos. I would...

Room and bath were basic & cheap. Stayed 3 weeks. View of beach road and beach w/ sound of waves. You are right in the middle of a popular restaurant bar with the noise it entails, not really too bad except on DJ nights, also you will get trash and delivery trucks early in morning. But so convenient to beach,...

Yea the place is cheap , but it feels like the price you pay. We did not enjoy and I guess will not recomand that place to our friends. The food was great. Go to dominicalocos... It's really nice here, a bit more expansive but great value for money.

Well the room was small and would get too hot, and the bathroom often was not supplied with a bath mat and so would get all muddy, the toilets didn't flush right, and the staff told us the water wasn't safe and would have to buy bottled water from the bar (lies- the water in the tap is fine).... so...

Our hotel recommended Tortilla Flats to us as did the travel guide we were using. A huge turnoff. Service was fine but got the order wrong. Vibe of the place was that of a gringo hangout. Better to search out other restaurants or sodas in the area.

This is the perfect surfer's spot. You can't get closer to the beach. The views are fantastic. Sunset is a daily event where people gather outside of Tortilla Flats with beer in hand appreciating the sunset. But the rooms seem like they haven't been maintained in a really long time. If you need a bed and an old, dirty fan...

The view is fantastic, the fish tacos were excellent and the atmosphere was interesting! But be prepared that this is a surfers bar. People in various degrees of undress, beer flowing freely and the best sunsets. What else could you ask for in a beach bar.

Tortilla Flats is a nice place to stay. Great location right accross the road from, and very close to the beach. There is a small market nearby run by friendly vendors and the Flats also incorporates a restaurant which is quite convenient. The food is as good as anywhere else in the area, although I do prefer the smaller restaurants...
