This was Mindfulness Travels second retreat at La Paloma Lodge. Our group experience at the Lodge was excellent. The service, excursions, cuisine, attention to the details, and our personal needs, were attended to with warmth and expertise. Our retreat was 7 nights, each day was as great as the previous one. Our guides were experts in knowledge, and the staff...

An interesting place to stay, starting with being picked up by boat at the beach for the very short ride to the Lodge. We stayed in a one story deluxe rancho that provided privacy, a great view and comfort. The unit was had air conditioning which we only needed to use once or twice during our stay. The day trips...

This has to be one of the most amazing experiences in the most beautiful place!! The people at the Lodge were warm and welcoming, and no detail was missed!! The food was particularly amazing, and I have been spoiled by a lot of good food, but this was a whole new level!! We swam, snorkeled, rode horses, hiked, watched the...

La Paloma Lodge is a fabulous destination for active adventurers. The accommodations are spacious and spotless, the public areas are lovely, the grounds are beautiful, and the staff are friendly and professional. Like the community of Drake Bay itself, many of the activities are either oriented toward the water or require a boat trip under the guidance of one of...

La Paloma Lodge is outstanding. The facilities are great from the rooms (separate lodges for bigger groups, to the dining area, to the glorious beach, to the activities. The staff is fantastic. On our arrival we had our own little table for lunch (lunch time was actually over but they still serve a delicious lunch) at we overlooked the ocean...

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The surroundings in the main lodge space, which is also a dining and gathering area, is like being in the jungle with chairs! It is elegant in its simplicity. There are smooth rock trails throughout the jungle grounds it inhabits that allow you to get from place to...

We had a fantastic time at La Paloma. The staff was fabulous and very welcoming as well as knowledgeable about the area. This was my second time to Drake Bay but definitely a step above the previous place I stayed. Marvelous meals , great service, a wonderful room with a view of the bay and birds and monkeys. We met...

I’ve been fortunate to travel to many places in the world and La Paloma is now one of my favorites. This place is exceptional, not only because it’s set in an extremely unique and beautiful place, but because of the warmth and sincerity of the staff and owner. The overall environment is simple and elegant, and lets the natural beauty...
