We stayed at the hotel to be close to the grand canyon. It was quite affordable, but was maybe not what we expected. It's dorm style with two bathrooms on the floor shared by all of the rooms. The rooms were quaint and decorated for the vintage aesthetic the hotel is going after. We didn't partake in too many of... More

We booked a package trip to the Grand Canyon through Xterra (Grand Canyon Railroad) and we're thrilled with the experience and value. Beautiful artwork and huge fireplace in the lobby. Helpful, responsible site staff, attention to detail (check out the accents on the mirrors and headboards) at this historic hotel. Go with first class or above on the train ride... More

Nice and unique place though a bit expensive for a room with a bathroom. Each room is individually decorated adn you can still enjoy photos and some original floor work from the 1891 hotel. Purchase wine and beer in the lobby. Has a nice little coffee sitting are. No tv in the rooms and our room was very small considering... More

This is the oldest hotel in Arizona and it has kept much of its character. We had a loft room for family of four (2 adults + 2 teens) for one night so the floor space was good but the ceiling height of the loft was pretty low for both kids - neither could stand up straight - we also... More

This is a return trip to Williams, Arizona, and our second time staying at the Grand Canyon Hotel. The oldest Hotel in Arizona, Built in 1891 and set on historic Route 66, it is the coolest place in town. Not because of A/C but knowing that you are sleeping in a room where actual Cowboys from the 19th century occupied.... More

Stopped of at this quirky hotel on our road and what a delight. Real American town of williams on the Route 66. Amy and Oscar are the perfect hosts and have done a fine job. No other place to stay when on williams.

I planned a high school graduation trip for my niece to the Grand Canyon. Of course we wanted to stay as close as we could to the Grand Canyon. In doing a search on the internet I ran across the Grand Canyon Hotel in Williams, Arizona. It's the oldest hotel in Arizona and I just knew we had to stay... More

We stayed one night here whilst on Route 66. The hotel is one of the very few left around that has held on to its heritage. All rooms are different and the lovely hosts gave us the keys to the available rooms so we could pick the one we wanted. The rooms are not large and there are no mod... More

Apparently this is the oldest hotel in Arizona and it certainly feels it! History seeps from the walls of this place and the creaky floorboards and Victorian décor add to the experience. We didn't have a TV in our room but wifi was fine and the bed was comfy. Really enjoyed the hotel and was certainly a change of usual... More

This hotel is for those looking for history and charm. It's not the Ritz Carlton if that is more your taste. The history of the hotel is very interesting as it's the oldest hotel in Northern AZ. We spent a weekend family trip in Williams to take the Grand Canyon train ride. The hotel is charming. We had everything we... More
