We spent 2 nights at the Highlander, but were very disappointed. When we arrived, the Belgian owners were at lengths to explain how they were refurbishing the rooms, by themselves, to keep down costs and we assumed we would get a nicely updated room, but...More
We stayed in a recently renovated room with a Marilyn Monroe theme. It's an old motel, but the fixtures and furnishings are all modern. The room was spotless. We got in late because of a snowstorm, but the gal at the front desk turned on...More

The motel is they old fashioned type that has been done up. The beds take up much of the room. Ok for 2, if you like a squeeze sure it would be ok. I would look for a larger room so your dog could move about rather than stay... More
The motel is they old fashioned type that has been done up. The beds take up much of the room. Ok for 2, if you like a squeeze sure it would be ok. I would look for a larger room so your dog could move about rather than stay in one place. If it was only for one night you could make do ,if it was for longer a larger room would be better., in case your dog get wet.
