Fifth time here - and another wonderful evening with Anne and Vincent; great food and lots of conversation, albeit in Franglais! Wine with dinner is from the local domains (burgundy) with very little markup. Usual spotless bedroom and bathroom and stupendous breakfast.

Wonderful and welcoming. Run by couple who are not only very friendly, but also interesting and intelligent to chat to as well. If you're lucky, your stay may co-incide with one of their cultural events that are held in the cellar/barn. Delicious food and pleasant well-decorated room. Worth the stop.

Stayed 2 very comfortable nights. Lovely area for walking, wild flowers in abundance, very welcoming hosts and Vincent's fantastic cooking. If you stay here, the table d'hote is one of the high points: for €18 you get a 4-course gourmet meal plus kir and amuses bouches. Local AOC wine is available with almost no markup. Breakfast is a treat -... More

We stayed in La Gemulouise for one night on our way back to the UK. The welcome was warm, the house is quirky, and full of fascinating antiques / works of art. It is in a very quiet location in a pretty wine making village. Vincent and Anne were helpful and interesting hosts. The best thing was the evening meal,... More

This was a wonderful place to stay - beautiful setting, interesting and generous hosts, great homemade food and terrific value at 50 Euro B&B. It's an old farmhouse with lovely grounds just 10 minutes from the main road, but in the heart of the Givry wine-making region. We had a lovely room with original works of art, very clean and... We found La Gémuloise from Tripadvisor when we were looking for a central base near Chalon-sur-Saône. What a lovely place ! Our hosts Anne and Vincent are such friendly people. They live in a very interesting rural property that has been in Vincent's family for generations. We really enjoyed their company and meals together were very enjoyable. Breakfast is good... More

We stayed here for one night on our European Road Trip. When we arrived we received a very warm welcome from Vincent and his family who were having dinner in their garden. We were shown to our room, the decor was colorful and tasteful. The room was spotlessly clean. Our room had a "compost toilet" which was a change. There... More

We stayed for 4 nights in what has to be the best Chambre D'hotes of Burgundy! Nice and spacious rooms in a charming house with a great garden in the middle of the vineyards. The hosts were very friendly and helped us with planning our excursions: la Gémuloise is the ideal starting point for your walking tours, or to go... More

I can only agree with the last reviewer. We stayed for one night during our cycling trip around Burgundy and found both the accommodation and the welcome from our hosts to be outstanding. Both dinner and breakfast the following morning were excellent and the wine from (literally) just across the road was superb. Vincent and Ann were charming hosts and... More

We were welcomed to this beautiful old house in Burgundy by the wonderful hosts, Anne and Vincent in the evening as we had traveled from the Costa Brava, on our way back to the UK. It was an easy drive (about 7 hours). We had booked dinner with them, and to our delight it was the best meal we had... More
