Featured in TIME Magazine (Liam McMillan, December 10, 2001) as a "Hot Spot" of the world, the Club Himalaya ( 32 kilometers East of Kathmandu) has earned local and international reputation. Superbly situated atop of a lush-green hill at a majestic elevation of 7200 ft, Club Himalaya offers an unrestricted 360˚ view of: Annapurna in the west to the mighty Everest in the East, Kathmandu valley and thick forests. Each room opens to a private balcony, where guests can enjoy the most splendid sunrise and sunsets.

The famed Nagarkot sunrise can be viewed from the comforts of the hotel itself. Comfortable and well appointed rooms, each with its own verandah that has wonderful mountain view. Superior quality of service and staff ever willing to take that extra step to ensure you have a

We decided to stop for a breakfast only and food was nice. (Buffet style) they have pancakes, beacon, chicken sausage, eggs and bread. Also they have local food and fruit to enjoy. It was not expensive around $15 per person. View is amazing and its a plus!

Loved the property. Great Views, Nice Rooms, Smiling Staff... (must mention names of Prayush Shrestha and Sudeep who put in that extra effort to make the stay more comfortable). The entire property seems to have been made with a lot fondness for the place.

This was by far the worst hotel we stayed in whilst in Nepal, it is definitely only surviving due to its location and sunrise/sunset view. From the roof there is a spectacular view of the sunrise (although it does mean an early start) and sunset. Top tip, I recommend going

May is considered summer and temperature can range from 23-28 degrees approximately. Visibility of the mountains depends on the onset of monsoon and general weather so the answer to your question is - it depends. Regardless of the visibility our hotel offers plenty of amenities and activities to make your visit worthwhile. Please do remember our best offers are available on our website. taxi ride from kathmandu airport to club himalayan would be not more than 2 thousand nepali rupee which is USD 20. But the taxi drivers are very clever that they might ask you more, you need to bargain.

There is some construction nearby, but we didn't hear any sounds from it. You cannot see Everest from the hotel - what you see is the range of Himalayas in the distance. On a clear early morning, you should be able to see an ascending range of hills, mountains and then the Himalayas in the far background. An impressive sight! If you want t see Everest, then you should take one of the Everest mountain flights from Kathmandu.
