Our room was huge and comfortable. Fine shower, loved the ambience. It was, however four flights up and there is no lift. We had heavy suitcases and at 65, wish we'd known so we could have requested a different room. The proprietor is lovely, warm and welcoming. She went out of her way to make requested dishes. Dinner was reasonably...

Looking for a cheap place to stay until I found a house, knew it would be only a couple days. Breakfast is worth about 3€ at a café. Breads, processed meats, coffee (filtered), and packaged jams. Juice is artificial with sugars, not fresh. Mediocre at best. Bed was uncomfortable. Can hear neighbors walking above, and beside you as they open...

I had the great fortune of having this hotel selected for me through an agent. What fantastic luck. Christine, the owner, is an outstandingly, personable hostess who volunteers much personal knowledge and history about the area to those who are interested. She is proud of the city's heritage and of its contribution to Germany and the world. My room was...

Unlike so many impersonal chains, this small hotel run by Christine Diehl-Grunberg (who is fluent in English) was a magnificent find. My room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant serves up a delicious cold breakfast and has an extensive dinner menu. Most importantly, Christine went out of her way to get to know me and make me comfortable during my...

This is a very pleasant, well appointed, family run, small hotel. Christine Grunberg runs the front of house and her husband, Hans, does (most of) the cooking. No elevator, so expect some stairs, but not a huge disadvantage. No sauna, no music, no karaoke, just great beer, real ambience and good food together with a very knowledgeable hostess. Definitely my...

I stayed here 2 nights. The owner, Christine, was very helpful & speaks great English. Big rooms, hair dryer, TV with CNN in English. Try the spiessbratten in the hotel restaurant - excellent! Very good, reasonably priced breakfast. No elevator, so lots of stairs.
