We stayed here for 2 nights and were glad to leave. The room was cramped, the walls are so thin that you can hear the neighbours pee, and the bathroom was bizarre. A shower curtain hangs over a slightly raised area in the floor which is meant to guide the water into the drain. What actually happens is that the...

The hotel is clean, and rooms are a reasonable size. Location wise it is well situated to explore the myvatn area. The free breakfast was the best we had compared with other hotels including a Fosshotel.

On the main road round Myvatyn, this is an up-market hotel with typical facilities associated with its price. The room was comfortable with hot drink facilities, TV and good shower. The restaurant served good quality food for both the breakfast buffet and dinner. We had Arctic Char and Reindeer steak - at the higher price end of the menu, but...

We loved our room at Hotel Reynihild and would recommend this very nice hotel. We would also recommend giving the desk attendant, Gardar, a raise, We were booked into their sister hotel down the road, Hotel Reykjahlid, by our tour company. Although it was lakeside, it was a big disappointment (tiny, cramped room, no amenities, no ambiance, no tv in...

This hotel is a bit dated but is kept clean and the beds are comfortable. Free breakfast was above average. The restaurant is a good option for the area with good service. Good location as a jumping off point to all the things to do around Lake Myvatn.

Never even made it through the door. My wife and I were in the parking lot next to our car organizing our bags prior to going inside. Next a hotel employee came out and told us we were not allowed to be there?! He didn't even ask if we were staying there or what we were doing. Apparently it makes...

We spent two nights here - and used it as our base to explore this exciting and beautiful area The hotel is well positioned, comfortable and well kept. The added bonus is the excellent restaurant - with local produce featured. Make sure you book to get a table. We stayed in room 101 - on the ground floor - it...

We had 2 double rooms, one of which was significantly bigger than the other with a large window. Both were clean and comfortable and had everything you needed for a short stay but perhaps rather basic for the price paid - although as accommodation is very limited at Myvatn I suppose they can charge higher prices. Staff were friendly and...

Earlier in July me and my friends arrived at Myvatn not knowing what to expect from the hotels nearby. The stay at Hotel Reynihlid was really surprising to say the least from what I've experienced here in Iceland.
